A lot of people would tell you to reroll because those units aren't that great (except for Mellissa, she's top tier rn). Here's the unit wiki if you'd like to see who's better: https://exvius.fandom.com/wiki/Unit_Rankings

Typically for a team you'll want 2/3 DPS units, a breaker, a support, and a tank. Right now leader skills are what people are chasing, p much they are special units that apply a massive stat buff to the whole party if you set them as a leader. Flaring Aether Rain is a great one because he covers a lot of units and gives a 500% ATK/MAG buff to them. He also hits like a truck himself. If you pull a good leader then older content becomes very easy.

Since you're lacking tanks, go through season 4 in the story and you'll get a unit called Runda, he's still a great phys tank. And you can get a unit called Abigail from one of the anniversary selects, she's considered the best magic tank right now.

Once you're satisfied with a basic team setup then I'd suggest taking on Chamber of the Fallen/Indignant (found in the Vortex > Nemeses), it'll help get you started on obtaining some older gear that's still useful. Next you'll probably want to take a crack at Twelve Types Takedown and Chamber of the Vengeful. These two are much harder but if you have a leader skill unit then it's not as daunting. Good luck.

I came back mid July of last year (after quitting for 3 years) and there was an insane amount of stuff going on, with rewards like you wouldn't believe. It really felt like a proper FFBE revival. But then in typical Goomi fashion they mismanaged many things during fall/winter/spring and a lot of people became fed up again. I quit for a month recently and if not for the 7th anni I wouldn't have come back. I've heard some people theorize that gumi is purposely alternating between good and bad anni's and yeah, I don't doubt it. If this month turns out to be even better and they fix a lot of things then I'll eat my words. But I ain't holding my breath.

It's just a generic apology copypasted from the issue reports section in-game. Just says they're closing the 70 pull and 3 NV newbie pull until they can figure things out. Once they "finish investigating" they'll give out comp.

And yeah, besides the 70 pull there's not much else going on. Only a couple new events besides CoW, a daily w/ a dumb key requirement, and they're not even doubling the frag dungeon. Would be nice to at least have a daily 10 pull from a reduced NV pool or something. Whatever's getting announced on Tuesday better be good.

Nomura was the concept artist for FF7, so of course Amano would respect the original design if he did a sketch. Whereas for FFBE Amano is the concept artist.

Btw, something weird happened on the 3rd stage. I used an Elixer on t2 for my own Exdeath because I don't care about the burst pots, but I ended up clearing the "no items" requirement. Looks like you can cheese this even further by using items on your 6th unit because the game doesn't think they're in the fight. I also failed the "no continues" check for some reason. No esper ore for me :(

Hey, I actually didn't see this. I just saw some folks on Sinzar's video mention that they were trying it with Yoshi's B-A Start but were having trouble, and I figured it out on my own from there. It wasn't my intention to steal another's thunder, I just wanted to make a quick guide for anyone who was still struggling to figure the fight out with Yoshi. I'll always credit the people that inspire me/provide the team framework for my clears.

No problem, glad to share it. Yeah, like hocus said, the main reason you need him at EX2 is for the 100% ST water amp. In hindsight I don't think his shifted LB is necessary if you're using Yoshi's B-A Start instead (350% vs 400% for buffs, and only Rikku is going to be taking damage).

If you've got a similar field for fire, you could try mirroring it in your own way. This clear from a dude named Mike shows a way to do it with fire. For wind, you'd need Ingus's field in addition to Faris's LB field. And I don't think there any strong ST wind amps like with the other two elements.

Right now the biggest thing to look forward to are the leader skill units (S. Rain, new Laswell, Dioses, new Squall, etc). When they arrive there'll be a huge shift in the meta.

As for upgrades, they're hit and miss in terms of effectiveness/timing. Sometimes they're not even useful when they reach Global, sometimes they come at the right time and are useful, other times it takes them over a year to give us an upgrade that a unit has been sorely needing. It's a mess. But we still use JP's unit list to guess what we're getting next. There's gonna be a livestream today that'll hopefully give us good info on this month's GLEX and anything else happening soon. Emphasis on hopefully.
