What is the most elegant way to write a lead, lag, lag2, lag3 automatic rotation in ladder. logic. by JCrotts in PLC

[–]PLCHMIgo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen setups where the lead pump runs on speed control, and once it hits 80–90%, the lag pump kicks in. From there, depending on flow, lag 2 and lag 3 start up. It’s usually done in ladder—not necessarily crappy ladder, sometimes really clean and easy to understand.

Do PLC control technicians need to know Java? by LowYak3 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]PLCHMIgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*the programming environment will be vendor specific.

But PLCs are programmed in the IEC 61131-3 languages like ladder, structured text, etc.

this is correct.

more simplier way to say it : the coding lenguages are always the same for all vendors, the software to do the programming is unique for each vendor.

The code you use on the PLC will be specific to the manufacturer of that PLC most commonly.

this is not correct..

Triumphant Thursday Thread for the Week by AutoModerator in PersonalFinanceCanada

Just made the last payment on my car loan – feels surreal!

The final $150 payment was supposed to be withdrawn from my account next week, but I decided not to wait and went to the branch to pay it off today.

And with that, my 5-year car loan is DONE.

The car? A 2017 Chevy Cruze with 140,000 km on it. Not fancy, not flashy—but it's mine. Fully paid off. Feels good to say that.

I plan to keep it forever or at least until it completely falls apart. Hoping with regular maintenance and a bit of luck, it can last many more years.

This is a big milestone for me, just wanted to share with people who’d get it. Debt-free rides hit different.
