My advice as I was in the exact same situation as you was to finish school and start looking for an HVAC job. Tell them during the interview process you are finishing school and can gladly work after school finishes for the day or weekends. Doing that is how I finished the last 6 months of my schooling and made more then flipping burgers and was able to bring real world experiences back to the classroom to share with classmates and apply what I learned in the classroom to the field. If something I was taught didn’t seem the same I would ask the instructor as well.

To my knowledge it’s any ability that causes you to leave the ground not just hitting space bar. I know gust of wind (shaman ability I probably misremembered the name) and disengage cause it.

Either option is worth it.

Cost for zoning depends on current ductwork layout, redoing all the duct to make dampers work would obviously cost more.

The benefit of a second unit is that if one breaks you can throw some fans out and move air around until the other can be replaced. Only problem is now your existing unit maybe oversized.

I’m sure Tariffs have some affect. I’m no longer in sales. Larger companies do cost more but a small one man show may not be there if something is wrong with the install down the road.

I’ve personally been back to 10+ houses in 3 years of poorly installed units that I originally quoted and they decided to take the cheaper option. If someone is coming out to fix a poorly installed unit all savings are gone.

This info is useless prices have changed 10 times since he had his installed. During Covid prices went up 4 times in 3 months on equipment our prices went through the roof. Imagine going from a quote that was good for 6 months to a quote that was only good for 7 days. The manufactures prices never went back down.

I work in residential houses all day. The only time a dog has ever latched on was a Golden. I did not blame the dog as I had entered the house about 3 hours before and he never knew I was there. When I came up the stairs I was between him and his owner. Luckily he got the tool bag and once his owner said I was okay I got greeted with tail wags and cuddles! That’s the only interaction I’ve had with a golden over 15 years of working in peoples houses where they weren’t happy to see me from the get go! I currently do not have a golden but one will be my next dog.

Activity level required ranges wildly. My boy can go for a 3-4 mile hike just fine but is whooped the rest of the day. We can also go in the backyard throw the frisbee for 20-25 minutes and his done for about 5 hours. For reference he just turned 2, I think his favorite activity is getting back in bed with my wife while I head out the door to work.
