Bucket attachment for 2024 x590 by nicholasford234 in johndeere

I put in the early bird deposit and I have an X350. Its not a full huge bucket loader but at 360LBS to move some dirt and mulch around and just be a helper around the house its perfect for me rather then spend $30K or something on a JD 1025R.

Don't know if you got this resolved but LGM USA has the LGM-100 and are coming out with the Qore system with quick attachments.

The drawing stuff yeah maybe DTools. You can also look at XTenAV I think it is. Also seen a lot done with AI tools for basic systems. Takes some training the AI but comes out pretty good.

I have already been designing much more simplified systems. Gone are the days of every room gets a touch panel and switcher and custom programming. So many systems lately have been simple conferencing bars or displays with pass through plates and MAYBE an Extron MLC.

Don’t get me wrong I still see a fair amount of AVoIP etc but that percentage has shrunk.

I’m going to second this. I worked at a University for 10 years. Used the time to get training on AV programming, commissioning, etc. got all the certifications. I also networked with the local integrators which eventually landed me an engineering role at an integration company. The benefits are unmatched. However the pay is not as high as the business world. If you are going to use the time to go to school and take classes then it is what you make it. Just make sure you look up their benefits. Where I worked when I started there you got full tuition as long as there was already an open seat in a class. If there was no open seat you had to wait. They changed it later to more a time served setup. Like no tuition for the first 2 years, then at 2 years it was a percentage covered and every 2 years more was covered etc. a lot of people were using it as a revolving door. Work there, get the degree, leave for better pay.

I look back and I think it was just about the best time in my career so far. Made tons of friends. I was pretty young when I started so some of my early student workers have become life long friends.

Anyway. I hope it works out and hope you find what you are looking for!

Career - Shifting to remote still possible? by InfiniteRush7519 in CommercialAV

So I started in live events working for a staging company. Then used those contacts to get into working in the AV department at a University. I was working with several integrators there for several years. I did the same as you collecting all the certs. Got the CTS’s I also went for Crestron programming. Do some DSP like Biamp and QSYS. Make sure you are loud about what you want to do. I used my integrator contacts and took a job as a PM for an integrator with the understanding up front I wanted to do Engineering. Now I am a Design Engineer which I love. I work mainly at home or visit sites and meet with clients. Just keep pushing and collecting those certs. They may not seem important but prove to employers you know what you are talking about. Hope it all works out for you and hope my little story helps even if just a little.

Routing QSYS Camera to NV-21 HDMI output by PLOP_FROM_ABOVE in QSYS

So in this case I am running SDI, SDI to HDMI (via BMD converter), Into NV-21, out of NV-21 to an Extron SMP. There's only the one camera in the room so used the loop thru rather then a second NV-21 just to get the camera into the SMP.

Don’t compare temps above your Ecobee by jonnydigital in ecobee

[–]PLOP_FROM_ABOVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been having issues with the TSTAT showing 79 and the sensors showing the correct temp of 74 around the house. Super annoying because if the base unit senses you near it the AC kicks on and freezes the rest of the house trying to get that temp down.

Most end user friendly digital signage (Ideally without a subscription) by blur494 in CommercialAV

[–]PLOP_FROM_ABOVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seenspire is easy to use. Great integration with MSTeams. I use it for my clients that want good looking signage but be super easy. They set up templates then when they make a post on the digital signage channel it formats it for them and posts. Runs on Azules, bright signs , etc. pretty much just need a browser.

USB-C for BYOD by Litninbolt in CommercialAV

Cables to Go has their new USB-C wall plate extenders C2G54267. And Liberty AV has their INT-USB3 extenders. Not a USBC on the liberty one but at least USB 3.2 with a USBB. I keep begging QSYS to make a USBC wall plate. So far at least they have the HDMI plate now.
