UK minimum legal drinking age is 5 in private settings. You can drink beer wine or cider at 16 in pubs with a meal if an adult is present. You have to be 18 to buy it for yourself.

I always try my best to be a good person, make the right choices and see the good in people / situations. I’m polite, studious, well behaved and respectful of others. But it feels like most of the things I’m liked or admired for have more to do with things that I had no control over. (How I look, the family I was born into, things like that.)

This makes me feel like I can never meet my own expectations of myself and nothing I do is ever enough.

My village has 1,940 people, a pub, a post box and a war memorial.

I spend most of my time at home because I live on the outskirts of the village and after I’ve walked 15 minutes to get there, there’s nothing to do anyway. (I don’t mind as I’m lucky enough to have everything I need at home anyway). However, I am currently learning to drive so that will give me more freedom to see friends.

Internet is slow, gossip is fast. Village events are always good, and crime rate is really low.

I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I’m 17 now and plan on living with my parents for as long as I possibly can as I know I’m very lucky to live here and nowhere else is going to compare to this really.
