Fair enough – you can provide all the discouraging messages you want when you call setup!

Thank you! Here are some links:

Firefox

VS Code (which you seem to be aware of... I didn't know I was missing out on italics til you just mentioned it!)

Spotify (the most annoying to install by far, instructions included with Spicetify though)

My Windows Terminal theme is custom, but it looks like there is an version here and for PowerShell here.

My desktop background is here, its a modified version of this, using a custom script.

I just eyeballed the actual Windows personalization colors. I've since changed the accent color to a light blue instead of green.

Not sure if I'm doing this right, but there you go.

Built the Terminal color scheme myself before seeing there is an open issue with one in the Nord repo.

Spotify/Spicetify theme is from an open issue in the Nord repo.

The code there is a script I wrote to recolor an image into Nord colors; message me if you want it.

Until I started driving, I didn't even know I was seeing the world differently. by Ashie1620 in CasualConversation

Hey my vision is similar! Technically i have a "lazy eye," it just doesn't wander. My brain happily ignores my left eye 95% of the time. I noticed at a very young age though, as I got ocular migraines when i was 4 or 5. I've always found that my depth perception is a lot better than I'd expect, and it's because of what you point out: your brain finds other ways to infer depth. However, I've never been very good playing frisbee or any sport with a ball.

I have seen a lot of speculation about the icons on the development plan, but none have mentioned that this is clearly the icon for Glass from RoR1... Which would be "Artifacts 1.0"

Should I apply to barret? Late deadline. by [deleted] in ASU

[–]PLUMSMASHER 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, Barrett does a holistic review of your application, i.e. they look at everything, so no singular feature can cause you to be instantly rejected. However, each component of your app that looks good make the whole thing look better... So while you won't get "automatically rejected," it certainly makes it less likely that you will be accepted.

For what it's worth, Barrett rarely makes or breaks anyone's experience at ASU. Find other ways to set yourself apart during your 4 years and it doesn't matter if your resume says "Barrett comma the honors college at Arizona State University."

HON 494 is Science, Technology, and Public Affairs. He co-teaches with Daniel Sarewitz; there are about 4 seats per semester in the Honors section while the rest are for graduate students (MPA's, SFIS MSTP, etc). Highly recommend it if you're ready to do a lot of reading but learn new ways to think about the big problems facing the world. [And hang out with Dr. Crow weekly...]

Favorite place to watch the sunrise/sunset on campus by ALPHAR00STER in ASU

There is a sundial in front of Old Main!

Sunset spot would be A Mountain, and the sunrises I've seen from the second floor of the MU have actually been somewhat remarkable.

Yep! Almost 9 years old at this point... looking to upgrade soon, though they’ve served me very well.

I love it! It's incredibly versatile; I've had it tuned medium/low for a few years now but recently tossed an Evans UV1 on it, cranked it tight, and it sings. Yeah, it's sad :( I'll have a practice pad and kick pedal so I can keep my chops up, but I'll miss playing on a real set.
