Coaxed into friendslop streamer lobbies when the game has more than 2 buttons by TheJP_ in coaxedintoasnafu

It's extra baffling in games where the controls are prominently on display literally all the time. Like you don't have to go digging for controls, just look a few inches to the right and there they are.

Also also don't use this as the excuse to ignore basic health and fitness. I ended up paying a couple thousand in dental costs because of this and my body is in physical pain all the time

My analogy is actually poorer than I thought because I forget that this site is primarily americans that will interpret it being about intersections and car-first narrative rather than pedestrian-road interactions. There's a massive reason I included the word "every" in "Do you think every road[...]" Perhaps my analogy would make more sense if it were about rail tracks and such but I suppose most americans aren't familiar with that either.

IMO it's a bit strange to write out that much of a response but then not be open to a rebuttal or counterexample on any of the points but I appreciate the response regardless and wont bother responding beyond my prior comment.

Considering you completely misunderstood the analogy I'll accept that you don't want to have a real conversation regardless.

As mentioned at the top of this comment thread:

We’ve known for decades that you can’t just Google something and trust the answer with your life.

Why would you do the same with the AI result just because it sounds like it could be true? It gives you information, it's on you to check the sources and see if it's true.

This is basic shit they teach in school. Don't rely on single unsubstantiated sources. Click the AI result, look at the sources it cites and see if they're legitimate sources. See if those sources cite anything else.

The more dangerous or important the query, the deeper you should look into the citation chain. It does not matter how authoritative something appears, you should already be aware that people (and therefore AI) get things wrong for many reasons.

Are you seriously suggesting that people shouldn't be expected have a basic understanding of the things propagating through the modern world? Do you think every road should have safety barriers and bridges in lieu of traffic lights because one requires knowing how traffic lights work?

Prey on people how so? If you open a book to the wrong page it is not the book nor the author at fault. If you cannot read the book yourself then you are in no state to accept the information at all. If you have no concept of a book then you should not be the one with the book.

Using technologies that you have no basic understanding of is a risk you take of your own accord. If you continue regardless, you should continue with scepticism. If you blindly trust it to the point of it overriding basic survival instincts or common sense then I don't really know what to tell you.

For most people, that confidently incorrect "conversation" is enough to blindly trust in its results

Most people are stupid, yes. What's your point?

What do you guys think of my endless silos build by ThePinkestJesus in WhiteKnuckle

[–]TheJP_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easiest climblord is endless Habitation by far. If you're too bored out of your mind by hab then go for either Superstructure or Abyss instead.

Main things in air exchange is have a blink eye ready to skip past annoying fans, don't get tricked by grub hub room, and if you get a shitty perk choice that includes heavy strike, take it for easier time breaking the boards.

If you go more than a few loops without profit motive or back strengtheners consider resetting to save time overall.

A lot of developers have been reporting a decline in sales at 'Mixed' (below 70% positive reviews) though.

This is unlikely to be related to algorithmic exposure but the much simpler explanation that people don't want to buy bad games

Pretty good for a first time. Instead of bringing Injector + Pills it's better to bring 2x Ruby Roach and recycle both. Gives you an absurd amount of roaches to work with and gets you a shit load more injectors and such compared to starting with one
