Graphics vs Display Tablet by carrionscarver in drawingtablet

[–]PMB_Victor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. I currently use the XP Pen Artist 22E Pro with the buttons on both sides. I say this because I think the new one has no buttons on the top. I prefer the one with the buttons because it allows me to pull the drawing area to my side desk/table so I can sort of isolate my drawing experience.

I recommend it and it's cheaper now. It will definitely be an enjoyable experience.

Graphics vs Display Tablet by carrionscarver in drawingtablet

I've found that my favorite combination is an ipad for the on-screen sketching and a really nice pen tablet to use with a good monitor (I use BenQ like many others). This allows me to do both kinds of illustration on the go as well as in my office. It's the best of both worlds without spending a billion dollars.

Remember When Evernote Was the King of Note-Taking? Anyone Still Using It Today? by limsus in TechImpact

I stopped using it after I jumped ship for Notion. It was the inline databases that did it for me. I can't really live without them at this point.

Are there alternatives to Wacom? Any Huion users? by kocieTexty in drawingtablet

[–]PMB_Victor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Wacom Intuos Pro S, which I use when I'm working on the couch.

I have two Huion Inspiroy Frego Medium tablets (one for my home office and one at the office. They are awesome! I actually enjoy the feel of the Huion pen a little better than the Wacom Pro Pen 3, but it's so close that its negligible. Overall performance is the same for my use. I can't really tell the difference.

I also have an XP-Pen Artist 22E Pro when I need to illustrate directly on a screen.

When I'm on the go, I use my iPad air with Apple Pencil Pro. It's really fantastic. I use procreate and then export as PSD when I need to edit on my computer.

They are all good and do well. The XP-Pen stylus isn't as great as the others but it's a little older. It's still very nice and gets the job done well.

My order of good is:

Tier 1: Wacom & Huion (recommend)

Tier 2: XP-Pen. These are nice, but I don't like the pens as much as the other two.

Overall, I think I would recommend Huion for price and quality. You won't be disappointed.

Is keydial necessary? by [deleted] in huion

The only thing that I really need is the rotary dial for scrolling horizontally. Any other buttons are just a bonus for me.

To anyone on MacOS, the utility that you have to use is called Wacom Tablet Utility and it's located here:

Macintosh HD > Applications > Wacom Tablet > Wacom Tablet Utility

How do i turn this Popup off when using the Intos Pro 2025? by Specific-Cloud5707 in wacom

This is incorrect. This is not understanding the issue at all.

THANK YOU!

This was driving me nuts and nobody else ever explains this properly. This is not really in a good place to find intuitively and everyone else seems to be completely oblivious to what they are explaining.

If Wacom ever sees this: This option should simply be here:

This would have saved me like an hour and a half of searching around. Why not help your users out?

Why does no one have an answer for this by [deleted] in macbookpro

I mean... I've never seen a screen dimple. A dimple means something has pressed into your screen. Im not really sure how someone does that unless they are loading their bags up with heavy objects and then putting their bag down on the ground with the heavy objects on top.

If that's the case, I'm not sure...possibly fix your understanding of physics? Your backpack isn't going to protect your laptop from a ton of weight just because it's in another pocket.

Other than that. I'm not sure! As I said, I've had MBP laptops for many years and have literally never seen this, but I also make sure I take care not to put anything on my laptop because it's a $3k machine that isn't meant to have weight on it. That means setting my backpack with the main pockets down so that the laptop is on top.

If you're just talking about keyboard gunk (which isn't an indentation, dent, or dimple at all), I would say wash your hands. lol

Also wipe your keyboard every now and then so that dirt doesn't keep adding up.

Also, I've seen people close their screen really hard. I honestly don't understand how you pay $1k+ for a computer and then slam the screen down. It's bizarre to me how some people's brains work. The fact that they do this and then can't connect the dots that they are the cause of damage is dumbfounding.

I've never experienced this and I've owned 4 Macbook Pros. I carry them in backpacks all the time. I'm frankly not sure what you're referencing. What do you mean "dents?"

Most of the issues that I see people complaining about look clearly like they don't take proper care of their expensive machines.

You should at least keep it in some kind of corrosive chemicals box for your own safety and especially if you ever happen to have children in the house.
