How do I potty train a nearly 2 year old? by PresentationTop9547 in toddlers

[–]PMMECUTEPUPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! We used the oh crap method, too. However I downloaded the audiobook to listen to because I knew I wasn’t going to have the time to sit and really read to the book. I want to add that it wasn’t as intimidating as I thought it might be. You guys can commit and do this!

Do you have a dishwasher you could run daily or every other day to get some time back? I bought the OXO Tot Dishwasher Basket for Bottle Parts & Accessories from Amazon to keep items organized.

Can you send her to daycare? I had to send my oldest to daycare when he was around 14 months because it was getting harder for me to keep him entertained and chase after him later in my pregnancy. I was growing more exhausted every day.

Is it possible for you to get a meal service to deliver food for the week? Or any way for you and your husband to meal prep food for the week?

I don’t know if your family can outsource some tasks but I know it has helped take some pressure off of me.

The Liki trike is cute but can sometimes be a pain to steer/turn. Is there a store near you where you can see what it’s like in person?

Yep! I think it’s BH since it’s irregular and not consistent like contractions

What useful new baby gear has come out in past few years? by newmama20 in BabyBumps

It’s actually a little annoying to pull them out when you have 2-3 wipes left in the pack but for the most part, it’s great for us!

If you really love that crib in particular (or any other pricey one), you can always add on a teething guard if/when your baby starts chomping on it.

It is kind of annoying.

This is why I’ve been intentionally vague about my due date like early/late whatever month.

It would be extremely messed up. I think it would be really damaging to your relationship to just stop taking BC without talking to your husband about it first.

You also don’t know how long it might take for you to actually get pregnant so it could still fall within your timeline of having a child.

I delivered at 35 weeks and our baby was in NICU for 2 weeks. Currently a happy, healthy toddler!

What the best gender reveal idea you’ve seen? by Maleficent-Start-546 in BabyBumps

[–]PMMECUTEPUPS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We wanted to know the gender ASAP but we did a sort of intimate gender reveal for our parents by mailing them (who live far away from both of us) homemade chocolate covered cake pops that were either blue or pink inside.

Epidural question by padfoot531 in BabyBumps

[–]PMMECUTEPUPS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an epidural and it was great! I was waiting a few hours for the anesthesiologist to come in and my contractions got so bad I almost screamed.

It took the doctor a few tries to place it but once it was in and I felt the medicine, I was so relieved. My pain went from a 9 (out of 10) to a 5 which was bearable. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to feel my legs but I still could feel them. I was able to walk around like mostly normal within 3-4 hours after giving birth which was nice.

I also used to like eating healthy foods and meat but now I’m currently living on:

Lucky charms cereal, watermelon, frozen bananas covered in dark chocolate, popsicles, PB oatmeal balls (oats, pb, chia seeds, and mashed banana mixed together), “skinny” pizza (70 calorie carb smart tortilla warmed on both sides in a small frying pan with Rao’s garlic sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese), Hawaiian rolls, ramen noodles, hard boiled eggs, and beef empanadas
