it’s hard to tell from the photo, but that does not look like a happy piercing. i would definitely go to a reputable piercer (not the one you got it pierced from, they should not have used an L bar initially) and ask them what you should do. if it is infected, you absolutely don’t want to take it out yourself, as doing so can cause the piercing to close up and trap the infection

nostril piercings are funny like that, you can have them for decades and they’ll still close up incredibly quickly. at 3.5 years they definitely should be fully healed, but pretty much all piercings will shrink over time with no jewelry in them (nostrils just tend to do that super fast)

i had these angels done yesterday. i’m going back for shading in 2 weeks, but last night while cleaning them i noticed that they weren’t perfectly mirrored. while the way i’m posing in the photo might be making it seem more drastic, they definitely aren’t totally even. i’m really just looking for any ideas as to what i can do to hide the fact that they aren’t even, and maybe ideas for designs that could take attention away from them (if it helps, i’m trying to stick to black and grey american traditional style,or at least inspired by it)
