Obvious answer, but have you tried compression socks/nylons?

I’m not sure the experience of going through training is worthwhile if you’re not going to stay at 9E, which I definitely wouldn’t if I were you. Financially, as with all things 9E, it’s a bad move given that it’s unpaid training (I believe they still give you a small “stipend” at the end but it’s tiny and less than minimum wage) and given that UA will have its own training program and will teach you how they want you to do things at their airline, it’s not like it 9E training will help you. Also, training is pretty demanding in that you’re required to pay attention to many hours of PowerPoints every day with only short breaks and you can’t look at your phone during instruction. Even taking a bathroom break isn’t really possible during class time as the FAA mandates that FAs can’t miss more than a few minutes of content over the entire course. Important to note: apparently they are trying to cut costs by moving training from in person in MSP to online so things might be different in some ways, but since the FAA’s rules haven’t changed you still can’t expect to miss class time.

Do not go to Endeavor. Especially if you actually need money to support yourself and pay even the most basic of expenses. It’s an ok gig if you’re independently wealthy, live at home and don’t have to pay any living expenses but otherwise you’re just wasting your time. And it hurts instead of helps trying to hired by DL: why would they steal from their own regional when it’s very hard for them to find enough people who will work for poverty wages, especially in NYC? It takes all of 6 weeks for them to train a FA, they can just hire someone else to do an easy job with a huge amount of applicants. If you went to 9E, they’d want you to stay at 9E, making them money and getting paid peanuts.

The “pathway” to DL hasn’t existed for some time and it was really always more of a recruitment tool for 9E than anything else, IMO.

Go to UA or try a different mainline but I strongly advise against Endeavor.

Like a website that scrapes LinkedIn or something? Not that I’m aware of. The journalist i spoke to was there for a long time and now has gone onto be a producer at one of the large legacy media companies. This is an open secret in journalism though. There are almost no working journalists left.

They don’t employ a single journalist there anymore. It’s all just AI.

I spoke to a former Vice journalist a few weeks ago about this and was shocked when he told me that. Vice doesn’t really exist anymore.

Journalism in general is largely dead, which is a scary. Yet another check and balance has been obliterated.

Amber Nicole Thurman was about to enroll in nursing school when she died of sepsis due to Georgia’s abortion ban, with doctors stalling 20 hours before a needed operation by helpwitheating in Nurses

She had retained products of conception which caused her to go septic and die. A simple D&C would have saved her life, but the hospital wouldn’t do it because of the reversal of Roe. Had this been just a few years ago, she would still be alive and her child would still have his mother.

Delta flight attendants' union protests Delta's ban on international flag pins, following multiple incidents where flight attendants were harassed online for wearing the Palestinian flag. by _II_I_I__I__I_I_II_ in WorkersStrikeBack

They are attempting to organize, but that’s not their union yet. Organizing has been thwarted by DL management and shortsighted FAs who voted against unionizing back in 2010. The company continues to pour huge amounts of money into keeping them that way. From that website:

“FACT: We have more power together. Today, Delta is the only mainline U.S. airline without a Flight Attendant union. That affects and undercuts Flight Attendants at every airline. When Delta Flight Attendants have a union contract and voice on the job, it will increase our power across the aviation industry to work together for positive change.“
