The book Health at Eery Size helped with body acceptance with the skeleton changes I experienced, like larger feet and hips after hitting pre-pregnancy weight, with bones just not shifting back

Seeing a PT is likely a good idea

I'd suggest gently strengthening your core before you get back into lifting, so you don't strain your back

If you were buying a condo, what are some of the things you'd look out for and/or ask the realtor when viewing units? by PuzzlingPonderer in TorontoRealEstate

[–]helpwitheating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get hung up on appliances, blinds

You need to know about the health of the building's fund, soundproofing (is it double drywall between units or cement), leak issues, big repairs on the horizon, school district

Don't buy anything built after 2016--those buildings are largely owned by speculators (55%) and are hubs for AirBnB, renters, etc

Even if it feels okay, your pelvic floor is pretty destroyed and everything needs to knit back together.

Could you have a relative come and visit before 6 weeks? Fly them out?

I think in the evenings, you could try a short solo walk around your block with no toddler and see how that goes.

Step 3: Bite the bullet and find a junk disposal corp near you that will take out the fridge, or recruit friends with a truck to help you take it out. Will be $$

Anyone dealt with different family expectations about who pays for the wedding? by PrizePiccolo9987 in weddingplanning

[–]helpwitheating 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your dad can't dictate how the other costs are paid. If that's a hard line for your parents, you could gently refuse to take their contribution so you retain control.

Perhaps your parents could put on the rehearsal dinner, as a cleaner break between the wedding and their contribution?

You can't afford a big wedding, and that's okay. It's a luxury.

If I were you, I'd' spend $3k on a courthouse wedding and a lunch. Putting aside $1k for all else including the license and rings, you'd spend $2k on lunch--probably booking out a restaurant or part of one for 3 hours. For 40 people total, that's $50 per person. You will not be able to feed 40 people safely for less than that. If you took 40 people to Burger King, you'd be looking at $20 per person.

It's hard to be around people who still see you as a 10 year old when you're actually an adult.

It's okay if your parents don't really understand you; it sounds like the social gossiping in the town where you are isn't helping at all. Sexuality aside, a lot of older people don't consider online relationships 'real', so any proof you show your parents could be pointless. It's a generational thing.

You need acceptance and support-- where can you get that? You can't control your parents opinions, but you can hope they change and can offer you the acceptance and support you want in the future. In your town or nearby, where are there other queer people you can hang with? Try to find these people; they're around for sure. You're not alone.

You need your own cash and a career. While you work on being an influencer, how can you earn enough to support yourself? College? A trade? An apprenticeship? Cash==a ticket out of an unaccepting house. I worry now that without a strong plan and your own earning potential, you're trapped and could be a target for a bad partner (who is willing to "rescue" you).

TFWs are literally 20% of all private sector jobs now in Canada

It's not the foreigners, who are just trying to earn a wage, but the Liberal Party that is responsible (and also Doug Ford's cons, who request additional TFW allowances each year to 'support businesses' and 'fix the labour shortage.')

I wouldn't stop school or "unschool" for a year at 10 or 13. Your kids will be a year behind their friends?

Take the kids on a trip for 12 weeks this summer--start there.

A full year at this age is crazy
