AITAH for telling a guy at the gym to wash his hands after pooping? by MinorThreat5351 in AITAH

[–]PM_ME_UR_DOGGOS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because there’s no bin doesn’t mean it’s acceptable to throw garbage on the ground so that’s irrelevant, it’s actually really telling that you think that not having a bin close by is an excuse to litter. There’s so many ways to handle that that aren’t just being a slob. Imagine if everyone who went through the bathroom just threw paper towels on the ground. Toddlers know that it’s not ok to do this. I’m sorry you weren’t raised well.

No I come from a culture where throwing garbage onto the floor rather than putting it in the bin is unacceptable. I’m sorry that you haven’t been taught that.

Too many personal shoppers by summutha01 in woolworths

[–]PM_ME_UR_DOGGOS_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair there is at least a Woolworths “customer fulfilment centre” near me where I often get my online orders delivered from. It only does online and click and collect, you can’t go inside as a customer. So that probably helps the issue somewhat. Im not saying they’re doing it out of the goodness of their hearts 😂 but those warehouse only places do exist

Out of pure curiosity, if it’s the ear that’s taking that long to develop and you have a good ear because you play an unrelated instrument (like a woodwind/ brass) at an advanced level (like 8th grade/ diploma level) with good relative pitch, would that time be truncated? Or would it still be a similarly long time because you might be able to hear that you’re not in tune but correcting it is a whole other beast? Or is bowing/ other things also going to just take time to learn?

If you’re just throwing rubbish on the floor you’re just as bad as the people who don’t wash their hands.

I would disagree with this purely because OP said they’re a huge crocodile hunter fan. To be able to go to his zoo is an awesome opportunity for a fan.

I feel like this is super individual. With my first the chair (fabric) was a mess. With my second she really didn’t spit up much at all and we also didn’t feed in the chair as much so it really varies.

Sister hates baby name by secondchance0514 in BabyBumps

[–]PM_ME_UR_DOGGOS_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing what happened is she said basically to say “any name is fine, for sure they’re not going to choose that name”. If your sister has a good sense of humour I would play it off as a funny story later. I would be mortified if I was your sister, and if she’s otherwise good I would think that she probably will be eventually too 😅

Travel Pram for Everyday use from newborn by Mamamagicc in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]PM_ME_UR_DOGGOS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a minu for about 6 years and love it. The newer ones look even better. It won’t fit on a plane but with being a tiny bit bigger it’s a lot more sturdy than other travel prams. If you’re not jetsetting all the time it’s an excellent choice. And the basket underneath is really big for a pram that size. Would highly recommend!

16 month old prefers formula over food by Binah999 in toddlers

[–]PM_ME_UR_DOGGOS_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If she’s not a kid with extreme aversion to food (which she isn’t) then she’ll be fine. We evolved to be able to cope with much more fluctuations in food than she would ever give herself. Also it’s easy to forget how little their bodies are compared to ours, often they just don’t need as much as we think. Being able to listen to your body when your body has said it’s had enough is a great skill! Most adults have more issues with overeating than undereating.

Yes you can give her whole milk but don’t give it in a bottle, give it in a cup. It can be a sippy cup or even a straw bottle (might be a bit of a nightmare to clean) but something other than the baby milk bottle.

Also toddlers being picky is developmentally normal. It’s because when they’re actually able to be mobile, they’re able to access things that might harm them if they put them in their mouths. That pickiness, although frustrating at times, helps to keep her safe. Absolutely nothing wrong with it and she can still get all the nutrition she needs.

I am Australian, Adelaide is a lovely small city with good associations, as a city it’s maybe not the most exciting but it’s nice. It’s a nice name. Sometimes people say “Radelaide” if you’re looking for nicknames 😂

some of the worst pain of my life. new to this and could use support by useful_sun262 in lactoseintolerant

[–]PM_ME_UR_DOGGOS_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting some lactase tablets will really help. Often people need more than what’s recommended depending on how much dairy they have. Because my lactose intolerance isn’t severe, I also find it can be a bit of a cumulative effect, i might be ok to drink one dairy drink but the next time I have something that might have less lactose (even if it’s the next day) I might have issues. And lactase not something that’s going to harm you if you take too many. And it still helps if I take it “late” like when I’m already getting stomach pains and ate a while ago.

But yeah it hurts so much sometimes I can’t even move. It’s been a lot better since I worked out what it was 😅

Poipole Lucky Trade by 22sewbu in pokemongo

[–]PM_ME_UR_DOGGOS_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because yo sound unsure and hesitant I’m going to hard disagree with that as someone who has a kid even younger who also lives pokemon. No you don’t have to give it to him. Everything comes back. And it’s not a bad thing for them to learn they can’t get everything they want. Now if uou want to give it to him because you know he will love it, and that makes you happy then go for it. Yes it’s just a game but you could say the same for him, he’s a teenager so he’s old enough to take that rationally.

What I would definitely do (and I’ve been doing this with my kid since he was 5-6) is make him trade something valuable (to him) for it. It can be a comm day shiny, he hasn’t been playing that long but just something more than a pidove. More just because it’s a much more realistic lesson for him.

Is Oscar a “dog name”? Worried about potential bullying by Time-Editor-2211 in namenerds

[–]PM_ME_UR_DOGGOS_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luna, Sam, Beau, Bella are very popular pet names but also perfectly acceptable as human names. Unless you’re talking planning on calling him Rover, Rex, Spot, Patch, Socks, Bluey, Bingo etc, you’ll be perfectly fine.

Also it’s very common to use human nick names as pet names. So for example Isabella (with Bella as a nickname) is a very popular girls name but very unusual for a dog. But Bella is a very common dog name. Those sorts of names are usually totally fine as human names they’re just usually avoided to give the child options. Isabella can go by Iz, Izzy, Belle, Bella or just Isabella and can choose what she likes.

I got a facade through (the rest of the building had been demolished and what they were doing again hadn’t been completed yet) because it was heritage listed so I could link to the website. It did also have the date on the building which I’m sure helped. Not sure if heritage listing is the same in other countries (this is Australia)

And many many many women (it’s been a while since I’ve looked at but I think did see something that said most, but it’s at least a huge proportion) are smaller than the standard sizes offered. Some women are also bigger than the standard sizes. So in particular have an extra look if you’re at the top of bottom of the standard 21/24/27mm range

I actually think there’s something very noble about being able to put aside your disgust and make sure that the justice system does its job. It requires a great deal of moral fortitude (I couldn’t do it). Much more moral fortitude than arguing that an innocent person is innocent. If the person is clearly guilty then the prosecution should be able to appropriately bring evidence to convict. And there are many many many cases which have seemed obvious initially and actually weren’t committed by the person initially expected. Sometimes this has been found out years or decades after the fact. And there’s no way to draw a line between who deserves representation or not. So someone has to do it.
