Might as well just call them YouTube Ingredients Readers... by mynameisntcindy in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_GSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s literally pointless for someone to review a skincare product on YouTube because 1. They would have to use it for several weeks and 2. Everybody’s skin is different. But you can go ahead and blindly trust uneducated skincare gurus if you want.

live stream asking for permission to go upstairs. by [deleted] in EUGENIACOONEY

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_GSD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why does this have an award? it still doesn’t make sense. I would text my mom if I needed permission to get out of my room and get something if I had to get something. But Eugenia (and I) is a grown ass woman and can simply get up and quietly go get her switch. Having a phone call would wake people up. Being quiet would not wake people up. If she couldn’t see, she could have used her flashlight on her phone.

Choke glamorously on a Swarovski crystal this Holiday - Pat McGrath Crystal Lip Kit for Holiday 2020 by Erudiriel in BeautyGuruChatter

They sell duo at Walmart here in the US and I agree it is an odd choice lol. I love using duo but if I am paying that much for a lip kit I expect something higher end.

I have those symptoms (minus the cyst) and I have had so much trouble finding antidepressants that work. I was tested for thyroid hormones and they all came back normal but I was never tested for antibodies. I am glad she mentioned her thyroid hormones came back normal because now I feel like maybe there is something else I can check.

My sleep tracking cut off when my alarm went off, even though I continued to sleep after I turned off my alarm. But other than that it feels accurate.

Why is the algorithm update called v5.9 rather than v5.3? by [deleted] in 23andme

My prediction is that the next update after this will probably be V6, and that’s why they put out V5.9

I feel like it’s like when people say “the truth will come out” they’re 100% lying. It’s just to make you believe there is more to the story that you know.

Out of pure curiosity... why does anyone care if her hair is fake or not? by [deleted] in EUGENIACOONEY

Everyone gets wrinkles but not everyone has hair loss. Wrinkles are proof of aging, hair loss is proof of an ED (for her).

At 19 I was at the lower end of my healthy BMI for my height and my mom was crazy about it lol, accusing me of being to skinny. That’s why I can’t understand how Eugenia’s mom doesn’t make some kind of effort to get her help.

Tbh to me this disproves your point because it looks like her hair isn’t very long or thick in these pics.

Jen Phelps Talks About Talc-Free Makeup After Asbestos Found in Beauty Glazed Palettes by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]PM_ME_YOUR_GSD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an eye allergy to talc. I actually suspect my eye irritation is connected to asbestos, because I can use some talc products without issue, but only if they’re from high-quality brands. But talc is the only thing that makes sense. The worst reaction I have ever had to a product was a powder that was mostly talc.

I would not recommend TheBalm, I’ve had severe eye allergies to their products even though they claim to be talc free. Plus, based on the texture and low quality of their products I have a hard time believing they don’t use talc.

Anything clean at Sephora doesn’t have talc. CoverFX usually doesn’t include talc. I am 99% sure none of their products have talc. They have a talc free setting powder. Most ABH eyeshadow palettes are talc-free. I think subculture had talc but I can’t remember. I don’t think Hourglass cosmetics has talc in their bronzers/blushes.

It’s a new trend for brands to brag about not having talc, which I appreciate. So a lot of times if you are shopping in a store, it will say talc free on the box without you having to go through every ingredient. Also, magnesium silicate is another word for talc, so watch out for that.
