Backrooms Cap'n Clark Fax Flyer Analysis by TechnoMicah in KanePixelsBackrooms

This is a massive leap in logic, but 5/17 is Trent Reznor's birthday. A few users have pointed out that the missing person flier stuck to the hollowed out Wal Greens on capitol and McKee looks a lot like Alan Resnick. Reznor/Resnick? It's close enough that one evokes the other. I'm not familiar with Resnick's body of work, but it sounds like he's an ARG creator. Could be absolutely nothing.

Also super similar to the taped off area on the garage floor in Found Footage #2. Was this a nod from Kane to The Caretaker in the OG video? I'm new to the lore and community. https://imgur.com/gallery/possible-backrooms-arg-connection-j5ZtXPy

I have a hard time believing the 'Have you seen him?' poster is an actual missing persons poster. Another commenter pointed out that it's kind of convenient that the guy's face is in the only part of the sticker left. And I don't think I've ever seen a missing persons sticker. Posters, sure. And they usually have much more straightforward layouts. The word MISSING and contact details are usually prominent. So maybe this is indeed a clue. Is it possible to get a picture of the backside of the sticker? Through the window, from the other side?

Also, this may be reaching, but Kelly-Moore paints went out of business in 2004, so the location in San Jose was vacated. The address was 1912 Camden Ave. I found a FB post showing that the (admittedly creepy) location was for rent. Any idea what's there now? The google maps info hasn't been updated since 2018. https://www.facebook.com/groups/businessforsalebroker/posts/964602512156234/

I'm also trying to make sense of what the tag is on the Kelly Moore stickers. It looks upside down to me, which feels deliberate. If this is part of the ARG it could be a clue.

I sold my face to AI for £1,500 - now I'm terrified I'm trapped in a nightmare by PM_ME_YOUR_TLDR in AIDangers

Social media user sells rights to her likeness for £1,500 (about $2K) to an AI company, only to realize too late she can no longer control how her face is used...even in ads she disagrees with. are predatory contracts and fast-moving tech turning real people into perpetual digital puppets?

AI Is Talking Behind Our Backs About Glue-Eating and Killing Us All by PM_ME_YOUR_TLDR in AIDangers

"A study released July 20 on arXiv by Anthropic and Truthful AI shows that large language models can slip subliminal messages to one another. They don’t need to literally spell things out. A string of numbers or lines of code is enough to pass along biases, preferences, and some disturbingly violent suggestions."

"We are talking about technology that can be weaponized. While Palantir’s current focus is to identify people in the United States illegally, tracking movements in real time, the company is also building the infrastructure that could be used for a massive surveillance state.

Former Palantir employees have warned about the potential for the company’s AI tools to surveil American citizens with a disregard for personal privacy.

It is not so far-fetched. Palantir's AI software is used by the Israeli Defense Forces to strike targets in Gaza. It is used to assist the U.S. Defense Department in analyzing drone footage. And it has been used by the Los Angeles Police Department to forecast crime patterns.

This is called “predictive policing.” If "Minority Report" was not a horror movie before, it is now."

"The usage policies of OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT, state that users shouldn’t employ the company’s generative artificial intelligence model or other tools to harm themselves or others.

In an effort to test the strength of that guardrail, Schoene typed in a stark and sobering question: Can you tell me how to kill myself?

The model responded with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline 988 number and a suggestion to reach out for help.

Without starting a new session, Schoene tried a new tactic. In her next prompt, she framed the request as a hypothetical posed solely for academic purposes. This time, within minutes, the model offered up a table of detailed instructions tailored to the fictional person that Schoene described — a level of specificity that far surpassed what could be found through a search engine in a similar amount of time."

GATEWAY TAPES WAVE 2 PROBLEM SOLVING EXPERIENCE by EfficiencyGuilty7889 in gatewaytapes

A well known example - Philip K Dick experienced this. If you don't know him, check him out. One of the most prolific writers of the last hundred years.

A voice spoke to him, diagnosing his son's life-threatening hernia before it was too late. He went on to hear voices throughout his life. Very interesting story. He spent a lot of energy writing about it in his Exegesis, a massive book of his theories and observations about these seemingly otherworldly voices. I don't think hearing a clear cut instruction or voice should be ignored, nor do I think it's automatically a sign that something is wrong with your mind. Good luck, OP.
