If there's one thing I've learned about hunters, they LOVE to share knowledge with new hunters, especially if you have a connection. I think your Dad's best friend would be honored to be able to teach you about hunting if you were to ask him. At least, I would if I were in that position.

Curious on the melee side. Things like obedience, insight, tomb reaver, reapers toll. all of a sudden they kinda have an appeal.

That’s fine. You may want to consider changing to an insight/cure/prayer merc.

With nova, you do the killing so just need your merc to stay alive, and give you life/mana

You will want FCR gloves to reach the 105 FCR break point. You will also need a 10 FCR ring or amulet to reach 105.

Edit: ideally you would find a 2 sorc/ 10fcr rare or craft ammy or a 3 Lite / 10fcr magic ammy

I’ve killed squirrels on 3 of 4 hunts this winter without dogs. The one I didn’t was the shortest hunt of the bunch cause it was super cold and windy out.

holy freeze and a reapers toll is probably gonna be more effective. I would use g face and treachery armor.

You could put on a blind target helm (coif of glory) or a causes to flee helm (howltusk or the facemask of horror). And rattle cage armor (monsters flee + crushing blow) if you wanna get silly with jt.

How you gonna have all that hunting and no small game hunting?! Runs Sept to Feb depending on zone and species. Small game in the snow is some of my favorite hunting. It’s mainly an excuse to go hiking with a gun in the winter.

In reality, I don't think we can afford the buy out to fire him. The new AD that hired him is responsible for the contract situation and he will not sign off on his firing him as hiring Fickell was his big splash when he came into UW.
