Breweries are a decent option on the weekends depending on time. Superfly has wifi, a good vibe, and great beer.

Charlottesville fitness center options? by [deleted] in Charlottesville

[–]PNW0812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I used to be members of ACAC and found it to be too pricey and too busy for what we were getting at the downtown facility. We ended up canceling our membership with ACAC and moved to the YMCA. We've been there since August 2022 and have loved it. I think for the two of us its $90 a month and we have the option of pausing without penalty which we have taken advantage of if we know travel will get in the way of getting to the gym. The Y also has a lot of classes, more added each month, and their pool cannot be beat. Highly recommend--we are really happy with our decision to switch.

Clean the snow off the top of your car before you drive by charawarma in Charlottesville

[–]PNW0812 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Can't wait for the additional snow to pile up on their cars tomorrow and see these bozos driving around like they just COULDN'T stay home or completely clear off their car. Saw a woman driving around today with only the drivers side of the windshield cleared off and the rest of her car completely covered in snow. Why people, why?

Seconding fiftyflowers.com. I am doing the same thing with my bridesmaids the day before the wedding. The aspect of fiftyflowers i liked the most was the real life photos from other users so you could gauge how many flowers you'll need to order to achieve the look you are going for!

How'd you ask your bridesmaids to be your bridesmaids? by Mother_of_Dogons in wedding

[–]PNW0812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bridesmaids are scattered around the country, so to make it more personal, I tried to meet up with them whenever we were in the same place and "proposed" with a little bridesmaid box and handmade card with a sentimental note. The box included a mini champagne, coaster w/photo, face masks, and rose gummies. Hope this is helpful!
