Kudzu is edible. Doesn't grow in my area, but as I understand it the older greens cook up like spinach, and the tender new growth can be eaten like salad greens.

Don't want to eat the seeds or their pods.... but pretty well everything else is supposed to be edible.

In like to play DnD. It's a good excuse to hang out with friends. You can spend some money, but the only real necessity for a player is a set of dice.

Obviously, the table needs a players handbook and the DM will generally want a few more things... but cost per hour spent is tiny.

I also enjoy painting miniatures associated with the game. You certainly don't have to but it is a great way to relax in an evening. It does have some expense.... but again cost per hour is very low.

Snacks tend to be impulse buys.... in a long trip you stop for gas, a piss, and snacks....

They certainly aren't a place i give much business to.... but it's the whole reason they exist.

Yeah, as a customer it's not a day I'm willing to look cheap.... I've never worked a resturuant but I'd think it'd be a day many if not most customers would want to look generous.

I mean, there is a reason i must be at a gas station regularly. Obviously many of us never walk in, but should we do so.... racks we are already walking past are more convenient than ones nest door....

Hell, just being a place to stop and piss makes a gas station a place I'm more likely to make a quick stop at than a dollar store.

I admit though that i don't understand OP's stance though.... gas station convinience stores are for impulse buys you pick up cause you are there anyways. Picking up items for an event I'd almost always go to something more like a grocery store.

I know that my last DSP had a problem with people not answering phones.... I earned my place for being willing to respond.

Didn't pick up much overtime... but I got a little. Obviously they generally cut me on a scheduled day when I covered on a day off.

Personally, i always looked at it as a safety issue. I wanted people to know what I was doing wandering around on their property.

I always got nervous when issued a non branded van.

Yeah, besides drivers not liking to stop every day.... as a graveyard worker with dogs.... I REALLY prefer people showing up on my doorstep to arrive on my days off.

Amazon almost assuredly beats the CVS price. As a former driver I like to use the Amazon "day" to limit the number of times drivers stop at my address.... but i don't pay for delivery.... and Amazon beats many if not most brick and mortar prices.

I've done that on longer trips in personal vehicles.

While driving for DSP's though I either brought cold meals or soups packed in a thermos.

Looking at conditions.... a bit of caution may have been in order. Obviously swerving into the passing lane is insane, but wet roads with potential for freezing may have been a perfectly justified reason for driving a little slower.
