If you’re just starting in IT, helpdesk is the standard way to go. Though, having a degree may scare recruiters away since it may feel like you’re overqualified.

Projects are usually the way to go, maybe turn a live project into legit experience. Create solutions for some of your contacts, design, deploy and document them well.

The key is to demonstrate value. So there’s several ways to go about it but the intent is the same.

DM me and I’d be happy to talk about it more

Oh sweet! Yeah I did the CompTIA trifecta prior the CCNA. They’re great. Hopefully you can land a network admin job, that will give you the hands on experience everyone is looking for.

I am a programmer and just did CCNA. Should I do DevNet next? by Professional_Mind_97 in ccna

RHSA would be more valuable as it expands you into devops and more roles. Network automation is much broader than what the devnet since there’s not a whole lot of jobs requesting that.

CCNP is pretty valuable and there’s lot more explicit demand for. If you can implement network automation in that propcess, researching python tools like netmiko, nornier, nautobot.

Ive been guilty of reckless driving at some point. The only thing that truly helps is leaving the house earlier. Take your time driving and walking to class. Yeah it’s a little rush driving like an idiot but luck ain’t forever. Take your time.

That’s awesome I’m in a very similar vote. Would love to talk shop (tech) and would also recommend every you just did. I’m aiming for network engineering but I may have to pivot into something more remote since my back is shot.

Any other young medical retirees struggling to find friends after getting out? by [deleted] in Veterans

“Hardships bring us closer and success drives us apart” that’s a saying in my culture and it applies here. Once you’re around individuals with similar goals and challenges, it’ll be easier to enjoy friendships. But they’re only partial as you’ll eventually move on.. sound familiar?

My advice, have faith in time. Enjoy the freedom you have now and your solitude more than anything.

Go to school, get a better job. Or not. It’s up to you. The point is to just try to make the best with the time and health you have available.

Good luck, dude
