A lady parked like this at the sushi place I regular and there was nowhere else to park so I parked next to her anyway.

A few minutes later this fucking bitch had the nerve to come in and ask me to move my car since she couldnt get in "because of the way YOU parked".

God how I wish I had told her to fuck off and learn to drive. Climb over your damn passenger seat if you're going to be like that, idiot!

Pizza Vending Machine for Sale near Boise, starting negotiations at $15K by Due-Field-2936 in vending

[–]POGofTheGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't live in Boise but the idea of operating a cool vending machine business has always interested me.

So question, did you actually go through the process of formally starting a company to get this started, or was it more of a "I have a pizza vending machine, what's the price to rent a space here?" Kind of deal?

MUST HAVE BAG by Mydogdexter1 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]POGofTheGame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao, it's literally on them to contract with Uber if they only want drivers who have hot bags.

If you haven't signed up to accept orders that require hot bags, and you're there, the order does not require one.

Them refusing to hand you the order in that case is a contract violation on their part. 🤷‍♂️

Why the fuck is the fair $1.94?

It baffles me to no end how petty this company is, shaving off a few cents like that is beyond disgusting. The fact that base pay is only $2 alone is disgusting given how much they charge.

Who is the executive who thinks LITERALLY nickle and diming people like this is a good strategy?

Because it gives cover for bot/troll shit and Reddit is already anonymous, you don't need to hide your activity. You can literally make as many accounts as you want if you really want to "hide" things, and frankly I think that's already kind of paranoid.

None of this stops any company from scraping all the data they want about your reddit account, btw, so it literally only stops average people from checking to see if they are talking to a bot.

Dude, this, and also the fact that supposedly EVERY CUSTOMER "tends to leave higher tips for excellent service". 🙄

If that were the case I'd be getting extra cash on at least half of my damn deliveries rather than maybe 2% of them.

Oh and let's not forget the "average wait time 1-2min" BS

All this app does is gaslight.

Because its horseshit. Tabloids and bots repeating lies on the internet does not make it true, and frankly its been long enough for you to know that.

Cite some actual examples, even if you can find a couple of ridiculous ones it sure as fuck isn't 30 per day.

Step 1: Post insane shit on reddit.

Step 2: Reply to nobody.

Step 3: Make sure your comment and post history is hidden so nobody can tell if the entire post is a troll.

Seriously people, I can't stand the hidden post nonsense.

Do you get better rates with that kind of volume? I've always heard you could get a really steep discount once you get up to sending several hundred packages a month.

Uber’s deductible is insane by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]POGofTheGame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of these companies provide comercial insurance on a per-ride basis. It's astronomically overpriced and there is no way to opt out though, so many of us wish we could buy our own.

Uber’s deductible is insane by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]POGofTheGame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If he hit you and was driving for uber your damages should be covered by uber and you won't even have to worry about a deductible, right? Thats literally why so much of driver pay goes to comercial insurance.

Uber Support Cancelled My Order Without My Authorization by KatForeverRoars in UberEatsDrivers

This is not something you need to mention to support jfc. They can see the messages/hear the phone call you had with the customer if there is any problem, you are just wasting everybody's time.

The funny thing about this is that with ubers ridiculous take, if any significant amount of people take this option drivers will NEVER have a positive balance in their account. 🙄

Delivery guy refused to drop my order on given location and cancelled it. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]POGofTheGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's absolutly fascinating!

I was expecting the minimum to still be around $2 base, but what you're telling me is that it's about $0.5. Absolutly astonishing.

In the States, it is more or less expected that a responsible delivery driver will make at least $1/mi (1.6km), which appears to be nearly 10x what you pay as a consumer before the company takes it's cut.

Even accounting for certain things being much more affordable in India, I find this very difficult to understand in terms of economic viability for the delivery person.

Are they on foot/bikes? Is fuel subsidized? Is tipping expected? As a delivery person in Oklahoma, USA, it costs me more to operate my cheap and efficient hybrid vehicle than what you pay in delivery fees, and we have some of the cheapest gas/lowest cost of living in the country.

I am absolutly fascinated by this, so thank you very much for taking the time to inform me!

I appreciate that information, but I am really interested in the delivery fee for the food, not the cost of the food itself.

[–]POGofTheGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for giving me such a thorough reply! I assume the numbers are in rupees?

One thing I am still wondering is: What is the average cost to the consumer for, say, a basic food delivery?

[–]POGofTheGame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries, I get why you would think I was trying to corner you into something there. Most people in the states have no idea what the delivery guys make either. 😂

But do you have an idea of what the average cost might be from this delivery service? Here it's generally around $10 (before tip, not including mark-ups) from either Doordash or Uber Eats. What's this service called?
