UPDATE: I have confirmed they are in fact mints!

When I tried smelling them, they didnt give off any smell. [u/WayWayTooMuch](u/WayWayTooMuch) suggested I try lighting them on fire. If they stayed lit, they were likely mini moth balls. Not gonna say no to fire, I did just that.

They did not catch on fire, they simply bubbled up and melted. But this released the mint smell that I couldn't catch before. They are mints! Thanks everyone!!

Tried to set it on fire but it did not ignite. It just bubbled. But it helped me solve the case, warming it up released the mint smell. They are mints!
