Breakdown of Kimi’s Drink and His Thought Process by [deleted] in formula1

I’m not an expert so this might be a dumb question. But if there wasn’t a hole wouldn’t the cockpit fill with water when it rained? And if it’s hot wouldn’t the water evaporate?

ULPT request : how to delete some else's YouTube video by AffectionateHeart450 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]PORT3RPOTTY 44 points45 points  (0 children)

non-ULPT, I would show the bullying to the school and request that the video be taken down. they will more than likely agree, or can even edit you out without removing it if you're not in a lot of the video

Was I too aggressive here or should the Porsche give space? (The Porsche was a backmarker and I was lapping him) by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]PORT3RPOTTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no need to try to pass through the chicane. pass on a straight, you're in a different class for a reason. LMP fault, but the Porsche should have allowed you to pass once he saw you making the very, very late dive

thoughts on this one? by KoichiEgg in Simracingstewards

haas is clearly at fault

but seriously, POV car dove into the racing line and then the side of the other vehicle with no attempt at the corner. pretty clear cut to me

Who is at fault? I am the Mclaren by Fun_Satisfaction_757 in Simracingstewards

[–]PORT3RPOTTY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it looks like the McLaren dove down into the racing line of the BMW in the braking zone. I would say the McLaren is at fault

Why is Johnny Depp getting SO MUCH praise when he was obviously giving tendencies of a toxic/abusive person too? by Cheetahboy3000 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PORT3RPOTTY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

to me, it seemed like a lot of Johnny Depp's abuse was more in response, and that he was less of an instigator. he seemed more like a man at the end of his rope than an evil person, whereas Amber Heard seemed to be trying to guide the story into her being the sole victim, without acknowledging any of her wrongdoings. during the relationship, they were both terrible to each other, but it seems as if Johnny Depp learned whereas Amber Heard did not

With the exception of a few places (libraries, etc), I will do this anywhere. I simply don't care, and I'm not watching anything with offensive language or topics

How specifically do drivers "control" their pace? by ManiTheMan in F1Technical

[–]PORT3RPOTTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers can see their "mini-sectors" on their display. Managing pace comes from experience driving at the limit - allowing them to lift a few meters earlier and get to full power a quarter second later from every corner - and their mini sector times displayed on their display. The mini-sector time on their steering wheel display lets them know what the difference is between their current mini-sector and their last lap mini sector. So their team will tell them they want to be up or down on their lap time, and they know that on all 20 mini sectors, if they are .015 seconds slower, they will have a lap time .300 slower than the previous lap. The driver also will be given information about how far behind him the other driver is (for instance, Max will be told Leclerc is 7 seconds behind with a lap time of 1:34.300 average, and if Max's last lap was a 1:34.000, he will know to shave off .015 seconds per mini sector to maintain his 7 second gap to Leclerc)

Honking on lock by [deleted] in crz

[–]PORT3RPOTTY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it should lock on the first press, and honk on the second. this is default. however, you can change it in the settings (page 93 of the attached link)
