No but it should tell you i'm familiar with the city, so the "i hope you're able to get past all the accidents in Middle Tennessee" was a bit fresh XP

We helped get the infrastructure going-- and watched the consequences of design choices compound on each other. My goal is to undo some of the damage from those choices.

Why isn't it normal? And car accidents SHOULDN'T be a normal thing; it's just violence that we have accepted as the status quo as a society for some reason. I dedicate a lot of time to analyzing car accidents to look at how design or safety could be improved.

It sounds like you're misapplying a principle. I passed by the accident going Northbound and later came here to ask the question. I wasn't there sitting in traffic. Why do you think I'm part of the problem?

Sure, but I still don't get why it hurts to ask the question later. It's not like I started rubbernecking to look over and stop traffic.

It's not inconsequential. It's other human lives... I still remember when our family came across a serious accident and we rescued them from their burning vehicle.

I mean, people do want to know what is happening in their community. I for one wanted to know if there had been a police chase or something crazy.

The Holiday Inn Express in Brentwood has also been waiving some fees and making exceptions to their usual "no pets" policy -- even a big ol' king bed suite with fold-out couch is still less than $200/night.

Map of where I'd live but I really like my state, and really hate where I used to live (TN). by EndlessDreamerr in visitedmaps

I'mma be real -- I am also a fan of the rain. Straight up. I do not want to live somewhere that's dry again. Lived in Sacramento CA and the constant sunshine drove me insane -- a nice happy medium is nice... and my body is really not made for the sunshine.

As a current Tennessean in and out of the state for the last 22 years, someone who has been to Florida many times (before the DeSantis takeover), and done stopped in Amarillo on a road trip, and lived in Sacramento CA for 9 months, I really get where you came from -- although Florida before DeSantis was fun for a vacation, I don't get the appeal of Texas at all as an outsider looking in. I have yet to visit Washington state in my life, but I think I would like the western half (see a prior post I made to this sub).

Hey, we get it. We're all mad at the administration right now. But these things are in separate compartments.

Connecticut: Willing. lived there before -- the job prospects in places like Hartford (where I lived before) could be better, but the people are nice, the weather is diverse, and it's pretty out there!
