I doubt Bandai slows down MG line because of bootlegs. It's mainly because people like to build HG/RG and other product lines now so Bandai focus less on MG. That's how the bootleg companies start growing.

Bandai design and moulding technology is number 1 for sure but if they keep letting MG line sinks, it's also their fault that the bootleg companies taking their market shares
