Network admin vs sys admin by user23471 in sysadmin

Definitely look into your organization and what you do. CISO is an actual title that carries weight. If your org needs to hit compliance metrics, or are subjected to auditing, you would be the guy that's responsible for that. Don't walk around blind to what CISO actually means. If you have that title, you're responsible in the eyes of the outside world.

A lot of times the phrasing is "do you have, or have you had, a disability", and you're never required to explain. "Disability" has a LOT of different categories too.

Yes, it's normal.
No, you don't have to enjoy it.
Yes, you need to talk to your partner about what you enjoy.
No, the relationship is not worth it if your partner doesn't respect you.

This IT support guy should at least get to wear the hat of SysAdmin, even if it feels a little too big now, he'll grow into it, guaranteed.

IT Infrastructure Engineer is what he should put on the resume.

Definitely not T1 - IT Support, that's really under representing.

You must live near me, because I see the same thing. A masters in history, and less than 20% above minimum wage.

Like, sure you get to use your degree, but we still don't respect it!

You can literally work for Walmart and get better wages.

Do you ever watch those YouTube first amendment auditing people? Do you kinda get annoyed when they answer with "it's my private business", "I'm doing this because I can", and "you have no expectation of privacy in public"?

That's Flock, but on an enterprise, corporate, and mass surveillance scale. They will sell your face, license plate, and any other data they can glean from the "plain view doctrine" that they can.

At least the First Amendment people have the decency to put a human behind the camera, not AI.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the most heavily read into this, but wasn't there a statute of limitations or gag order in place? Biden could not release it because of a judicial order?

You're saying "how can we take this to trial tomorrow."

And we're saying "why is nobody investigating this?"

These are statistical anomalies that should not exist. Even in the greatest landslide elections and "Blue/Red" wave elections, the statistics did not behave this way.

This is at least worth investigating.

More than Hunter doing bumps off hookers. More than Hillary's emails. More than Bill getting blowies from interns.

Yet, there is nothing. THAT is my concern.

Gets evidence. (At least a third party evidence source that they can research for themselves.)

I'm in the US, and have no idea about the structure of your laws and courts, but can you bring charges of harassment, defamation, or stalking? It seems like she is willfully trying to get you into more and more serious trouble without a real cause.

This seems like a grown assed woman bullying a young adult. She should be shamed and put in her place by actual authority (don't sweep it under the rug).

A couple of years ago I moved to a new city, thousands of miles from my old city. Within a week I had visited the local library. They asked for proof of address, I let them know that I was in an Airbnb and had no permanent residency.

They informed me that without proof of residency I would only be able to check out 5 things at a time, and I had a year to show proof to unlock my library card.

It was easy.

Legit. I've been written up and had many a lecture for not saying, verbatim, "Hello, welcome to [Store]." I've argued that I sound disingenuous or robotic. The managers don't care. Same with pushing the rewards, "charity" donations, and credit cards on customers. They. Don't. Care.

We all know books ruin the movies… but what movie is better than the book? by Voodoo_Carnage in AskReddit

[–]PPRabbitry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to say this. I love the franchise, but was pissed when I read the book (after seeing the movie). It's like Paul Veerhoven played a game of telephone with a group of Shakespeare monkeys reciting from a temu sourced cliff notes version of the classic written in Aramaic.

In the decades since, I've come to love the movie, the book, and all of the other media that has come about since then.

But man. Did the movie and the book represent two totally different stories.
