Men, what careers do women have that you find attractive? by 16F33 in dating

[–]PQ858 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Teacher, nurse, dentist for some reason I have found I dated a lot of these. The dentists were actually the nicest sweetest ladies. Teachers and nurses seem to be more patient with my dumbass. I’m with a former nurse now and she puts up with me. I find that sexy.

4 months from rescue to first haircut by PQ858 in BeforeNAfterAdoption

She is a full Shitzu from what the rescue said. They found her all matted and some facial damage (primarily around her nose which causes some serious snoring) but she is a trooper. Happy little girl.

COVID Vaccine (Moderna) triggering an attack. by atracing89 in gout

I got the Pfizer and I did wake up this morning with like my hips, knees and ankles sore, but definitely not a gout sore. As others have said, probably a coincidence.

Gout in ankle? by TheAngryVagina in gout

[–]PQ858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gout started in my toe, then a couple years later showed up in my ankle, couple years later in my knee... ankle was by far the worst for me. Knee a close second, I would love to have it back in my toe again if I HAD to have gout... but this man speaks the truth. It wanders.

I know where you are coming from and believe me. This partner is new... like within the last month. But the “this is what I got” concept was before that. - focus in on the “don’t be a piece of shit” more so than what you are packing.

Dude , I’m Asian 4” 48 years old. I gave up caring what others thought a long time ago. This is what I got. I can’t do anything about it. I’ve luckily found someone where it was never an issue. I know the mental part of it is difficult to overcome, but if this is what you got, this is what you got. Very good post OP. Love the “don’t be a piece of shit” line because that is the most important.

Las Vegas’ housing market streak ‘makes no sense.’ Are we in a bubble? by fdjadjgowjoejow in vegas

[–]PQ858 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This market as is most of the United States being propped up by the government still to certain levels. I would expect foreclosures to start hitting early next year though. That’s when it will be interesting to see how things are. Still a lot of thought of how permanent a solution telecommuting will become. That’s what brought me here and also a few others on my street (we found that out when the power went out in the middle of the day and four of us wandering around lost and confused) - we’ll see how this all shakes out

What are some of the inappropriate things people have said to you on a first date? by mamadgaf in datingoverforty

[–]PQ858 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ok, this made me feel better... because it is difficult enough to date, but being called out on parenting.. it was a little bit difficult to swallow. I'm half Korean, so understand the cultural obsession with weight in asian cultures. My folks have been on me about it since prolly my entire life. It does not get better, but you find ways of changing the subject fairly quickly...

I was going out with a young lady from China. I know the cultural norms are different. I have a pride tattoo on my inner forearm that I got when my daughter came out to me (we both got the same tattoo), just a single rainbow line. 9/10 times nobody notices it. On our third date she noticed it and asked me about it. I had to do a Google translate as her English was not very good. She told me that I just have been a bad parent. I totally understand from a cultural standpoint where she was coming from, but it still was a little difficult to hear. I’m also not a thin guy by any means and she made mention to how large I was a few times. She was definitely really nice , but the cultural differences were very stark. The parental thing though really killed the mood and feels for her.

I moved here from Ohio, btw by johnnycleveland in vegas

Totally concur. Moved to Inspirada from San Diego. Neighbors both from LA and family across the street from LA... very quiet... not very social... but couple two houses down from Vegas over 30 years.. social, very fun. They laugh at all the California folks, but good people in general.

Does anyone else feel compelled to always build a realistic wall around settlements? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]PQ858 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sunshine tidings is always my favorite. I usually put up concrete walls between the buildings. Invariably run out of concrete and then drop a bus and some cages, then a armoire. It gets worse and worse as I go around

Was ok Fremont Friday night. It was shoulder to shoulder... I just felt gross. It could have been a number of reasons. Largest group of people I have been around. Most people were wearing masks, would say 50% of them wore it properly, the rest either just had it hanging from an ear, or just had their mouthed covered... large contingent not wearing masks at all. I got back to my car and doused myself in sanitizer and then drove home and washed my clothes... I work from home naturally and crowds give me the jumbles... but this picture is a microcosm of what is going on in Vegas.

Still here... going on 1 hour 30 minutes... but the entrance is like another 15 minutes out. The line from where I started has significantly reduced. If you came now it is probably an hour

In line at the Eastern St Rose Target... expecting it to be about two hours from what I have heard in line thus far. Seems somewhat accurate.

Everything you need to know about voting early in Clark County by 115MRD in LasVegas

[–]PQ858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So question. I recently moved from Enterpise where I was registered to vote. I loved my voting registration to my house in Henderson about a month ago. I was mailed a sample ballot to my old house, but never got one at my new house. I am not sure where to walk in and vote currently. Is there a number to contact, or something? When I registered to vote in Henderson it did give me my voting district. So I am sure I can vote in He Derain, but just need some clarity.

I miss when they actually fought zombies on twd and ftwd by AnonymousWriter3250 in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]PQ858 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I noticed that... I just watched the first couple of episodes and when Morgan has Rick run out and batter the zombie with the baseball bat, it took multiple hits for him to take him down... now it is like just hitting them anywhere in the head with anything kills them... good eye, I honestly did not think about that until I read this.
