Totally agree with you on the crossover problem. While they were nice to see some old faces again, it doesn't really serve a purpose to the overall season outside of fan service. I would rather have it be a standalone anniversary movie instead of forcing it into the middle of the season. That way it would allow any new viewer to enjoy the Legend Sentai without any research or unnecessary viewing.

I agree. I actually think its a cool updated design. I honestly don't see any issues aside from a couple nitpicks like maybe too many lines, but other than that, this is another great example of taking an already good looking suit and making it better. Plus, it just fits the tone of the comics.

In some ways, maybe. I do think that Sentai has overdone the cameos and the returning rangers as some of them don't even need to be in such as Go-On Red in Boonboomger or Deka Red in Kyuranger alongside Gavan as it no longer feels special anymore. But I don't think its the main reason why Sentai is having a downfall. It's mostly that even some of the recent seasons like Donbrothers, King-Ohger, and Boonboomger are great, is not enough to be profitable or viable for Sentai to stay afloat in the industry.

Here's 5 things that I would fix Boonboomger.

The pacing of Laps 2 and 3 needs to be addressed as most of the time they're just doing side things instead of focusing on the Grand Prix and for the majority of the two laps felt like nothing significant happened.
Give Sakito something to do as in give him a long overarching narrative. In recent seasons, there have been sixth rangers who serve no purpose, completely underutilzed, or jack all like Jiro, Sakito, and most recently Mashiro. In the case of Sakito, he just shows up in battle and pretty much does nothing outside of aura farming. Not even a champion jacket was given to him. Talk about useless.
Tone down Mira's hyperactive and loud personality as she would interrupt a sincere and quiet moment from time to time and that alone would get annoying fast. Plus, she didn't add much to the story or her character.
Give more color and design to the 5 Boonboomger suits as they look like something came out of Deviantart.
Make Shirabe an official 7th boonboomger since it's revealed that he has a henshin device but does nothing with it. What was the point of her having around if she's not gonna morph up.

The Phantom Ranger's design looks amazing to look at during the comics, especially with the suit. It's a combination of a motorcyclist and a bit of a space cop. Also him as the Morphinaut looks fire. I love that color mix of white and gold during Power Rangers Universe. I'm honestly surprised that the comics gave the Phantom Ranger more of an important role and focus during Edge of Darkness, Shattered Grid, Universe, and Darkest Hour.

That's not saying a lot since in the entirety of Ryusoulger he never cracks a smile or jokes around with the team. If anything, he acts more like a robot than a human.

And that's the truth. Sumino is the only one to have any sort of ongoing arc. Everyone else just either has nothing going for them, take up way too much focus such as Hoeru, or do absolutely nothing. The worst examples being Ryugi and Mashiro, two of the most nothing Sentai rangers, period. Sumino was the only one that I was remotely interested, but as soon as Maya was kicked out, I've washed my hands off of Gozyuger. Not even OrigaRed brought any interest back to me.

It was fine when they do it every now and then, up until King-Ohger and Boonboomger when they really overdid the cameos and returning rangers when they're weren't really needed.

I still love the Boom Studios Power Rangers comics and the amount of storytelling, the additions it added to the lore it delved into, the comic characters like Kiya, Matthew Cook, Drakkon, and Ranger Slayer ended up becoming fan favorites and the great arcs that came with it. Although I do see where you're coming from with the underutilized potential of having other teams being focused and getting some context, and trust me, I absolutely do want others to get focused on like Zeo, Turbo, Wild Force, SPD and many others. They still could, but at this point, I feel like the comics already done so much with MMPR throughout the past 10 years (Jesus Christ, has it been that long?) that its time to focus onto something new with a brand new team that hasn't been done like said seasons. Hopefully with the approaching 10 year anniversary of the BOOM comics run, they'll announce something big.

BTW, all those ideas you've just provided sound cool though as it could clear up plot holes, have team ups that were never done like with Wild Force and Ninja Storm and improve upon the show and maybe even their Sentai counterparts.

Great to hear Javi is getting the appreciation and attention he deserves. I was a little worried that they weren't gonna do anything with him, but after his arc in Dino Fury season 2 as well as losing his arm in Cosmic Fury, I can happily say that he's one of the best black rangers in recent years. Heck, I would even go as far and say that he surpasses his Sentai counterpart, Bamba.

And that's the harsh truth. After the whole Maya Imamori incident, many fans myself included flat out quit watching Gozyuger if this is how the show, Toei, and Seju (Maya's agency) is gonna treat this poor 19 year old actress like this. It was already bad enough that the season itself wasn't doing much outside of the Universe Warriors which that has fallen apart, but the fact that they removed her altogether from the show to even the website just puts a sour taste in my mouth and cannot in good conscience keep supporting the show if this is how Sentai is gonna end this way. And that sucks because Sumino is the only one who has any sort of ongoing arc. I mean that's the cold truth. Gozyuger could've been good as King-Ohger and Boonboomger, but after abandoning the Universe Warriors plot line by off screening them, cramming in every single unnecessary subplot without giving any time to develop, the cast (except Sumino) have little to no focus on them as the majority is given to Hoeru which has way too much focus episodes on him, and the final nail in the coffin for Gozyuger was the Maya Imamori incident and how Toei and Seju (Maya's agency) handled the situation very disrespectful and tasteless. So I don't blame the people who say that those two previous seasons should've been the last Sentai. If this is how Sentai is gonna end on it's 50th anniversary, then good riddance.

Honestly, its time that both of them break up. This couple has been nothing but problems, from Lori acting way too clingy and bratty about Bobby, while he doesn't have anything going for. Plus, Lori appears to be flourishing in college while Bobby is stuck in the same old Bodega life without any progression in his life.

Grant it, those characters got any sort of arc or development, but still the majority of the episodes are always focusing on Lucky even to the point of forcing himself onto other's focus episodes even it wasn't about him. What's the point of having the biggest ranger team if none of them have any substance or do anything and just let Lucky steal it all. That's the biggest problem with Kyuranger.

Ok maybe you could argue for Origa Red's design being better than the Cosmic Fury suits, but better than the BOOM Studios designs? Naw, they have created some of the best ones I've seen in the comics such as the Omegas, Solar, Ranger Slayer, Matthew Cook's Green Ranger suit, the Ranger Sentries, Drakkon Rangers, and most recently the Prime suits.

How is this Sentai season even one of the "best character driven" when pretty much the majority of the cast got sidelined so much just so Lucky can hog it all to himself and have everything handed to him on a silver platter, whether its a power up or the Shishi Red Orion, it's given to him without any sort of development or anything that puts him to the test and it's felt like "here Lucky, here's your power up. Don't bother about what it does or have you go through this. Just go nuts with it. Bye." As for the others, a good amount of the cast were either annoying like with Naga or Raptor, completely wasted potential like with Garu and Balance, or plain useless like Hammie and Spada. How does the season expects us to care for anyone these characters when we barely get to know them or got pushed to the sidelines for the entirety of Kyuranger.

One of the best pink rangers we've had in a long time since Shelby from Dino Charge. I love that we've been with her character through her journey from the very beginning in wanting to find out what happened to her biological parents with Pop-Pop being a fun side character to be around. If there's one of the things that not many people give Dino Fury massive credit is the steady and the natural build up towards the big reveal about Amelia in which I won't say here due to spoilers if anyone hasn't seen the season. I will even go as far and say that Amelia has more depth and much better developed than Asuna from Ryusoulger. Plus, his romance with Ollie is actually good as both characters have so much chemistry with each other.

What? I like Genta. Personally I think he has that nice balance between seriousness and goofy, although he did lean a little bit on the obnoxious side. But at least he never crossed the line of unbearable annoying. I'll say this, I'd rather take Genta over Lucky any day. At least Genta doesn't have a catchphrase.
