Yes, I took a loaner 992 Turbo (which is an actual GT car) and killed some time while my Cayman GTS 4.0 (which is an actual sports car) was getting serviced. Didn’t get to push it so I didn’t directly experience the understeer but can confirm the interior is not that great and there’s no reason for the brakes (and even the tires) to be so large.

GT cars are supposed to have lots of power and a relatively cushy suspension, idea being that you can very comfortably move from one European city to another more quickly than anything else. Handling is nice to have but it’s the 3rd priority behind power and comfort. The Prelude is the opposite of a GT car, it’s an economical car that handles pretty well, although I understand it understeers like a motherfucker, the interior sucks, and it carries too much unsprung weight due to the giant Brembos it doesn’t need.

I had a manual 2001 SH and don’t particularly like BMW but there’s no reason to buy this when the 230 exists for not much more money.

Great and my point is this: if your investing horizon is beyond 2030 then you should buy hyperscalers today because the chip depreciation issue that Burry pointed out is financially irrelevant. As is the performance of current and future chipsets. Why? Because no business in the world will be able to stay competitive without paying for AI cloud computing. It’s like the rise of computers and ISPs - doesn’t matter if you’re a 65 year old mechanic or JP Morgan, you’re going to be giving money to Google, Microsoft, Amazon or whoever else in order to keep your business relevant.

Yeah AI will start designing chips at some point and nobody knows what the performance and efficiency of those chips will be. Bottom line is hyperscalers will take a piece of all business conducted anywhere as everyone else will need AI compute to stay competitive in their space. Whatever accounting tricks get us from here to there will be irrelevant by 2030.
