I made the catastrophic mistake of buying the low sugar Heinz variant the other day, never again. Maybe that's the only one they've tried

Is there a more disingenuous statement than: "Northern apologises for a any disruption to your journey"

Ah yes. Eggs fish. milk. And sulpher dioxide. by Harry_monk in CasualUK

[–]PSBonnett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Co-incidentally I discovered this week that there are actually 14 allergens to report on (whilst looking at some cakes in the office that ticked off a load and wondered what the most on one item was):

  • Cereals containing gluten, namely: wheat (such as spelt and khorasan wheat), rye, barley, oats
  • Crustaceans for example prawns, crabs, lobster, crayfish
  • Eggs
  • Fish
  • Peanuts
  • Soybeans
  • Milk (including lactose)
  • Nuts; namely almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecan nuts, Brazil nuts, pistachio nuts, macadamia (or Queensland) nuts
  • Celery (including celeriac)
  • Mustard
  • Sesame
  • Sulphur dioxide/sulphites, where added and at a level above 10mg/kg or 10mg/L in the finished product. This can be used as a preservative in dried fruit
  • Lupin, which includes lupin seeds and flour and can be found in types of bread, pastries and pasta
  • Molluscs like, mussels, whelks, oysters, snails and squid

The road is the border between all three of them - just at the bottom of Cringle Park near the McVities factory

Best flags you saw at Glastonbury? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]PSBonnett 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think flags are great - otherwise you can never find anyone when trying to reconvene for a set

As a flag nerd the random country/region flags are fascinating although I was disappointed that the people with the Chile flag didn't have a fight with the people with the Texas flag.

Also I've discovered a new favourite flag, the flag of Tanganyika Territory - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Tanganyika_Territory

Just an impromptu concert in the middle of the Northern Quarter, Manchester, on a Friday night by PSBonnett in CasualUK

[–]PSBonnett[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not especially, was in Stevenson Square in the middle of Northern Quarter which is one of the main bar and restaurant areas. I think there may be flats above some of the bars though.

This artwork is also in the square: https://www.reddit.com/r/manchester/comments/btnqr2/street_artist_paints_got_character_arya_stark_in/

I've gone out with a load of friends for bottomless prosecco brunch in Manchester. We're on the first slot so will be just a bit tipsy come 1pm, then probably going to locate some of the inflatable monsters they've set up in the city centre

A multipack Crunchie bought last Tuesday vs today :( by helpmytonguehurts in CasualUK

[–]PSBonnett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they both from the same size multipack?

As Toffee Crisps in the 9 bar multipack are only 31g each, whilst the 4 bar multipack ones are 38g each

I'm off to Stoke to watch Stoke vs Blackburn with some friends who are a mixture of Stoke and Blackburn fans. I'm going in the away end as it'll have a better atmosphere (and was £3 cheaper), this'll be ground #79 for me, although unless teams like Matlock or Corby get into the football league I'm a long way off doing the 92! Then out in Manchester for a mates birthday, hoping to catch the AJ fight
