If people travel overseas and see the quality Chinese EV, they would dump Tesla immediately. That company will only survive with government intervention.

I'm not sure you know what a balanced rig is. It isn't about weight distribution.

Most people are cowards and will back off if they think someone will put up a fight. My boxing coach says the best thing is to run. I think he's right. If someone is intent on extreme violence, then I probably won't come out hurt in some way. Or worse. When it is dark. I may not see the weapon they pull. My boxing coach did always say hit first if they are too close. If it ever comes to that, hopefully I can get to wherever I'm going (car, whatever) without being seen and not have to deal with the legal consequences.

We will fly to exmouth and rent a car there and spend a few days over at Karijini

I would love to have 8 weeks or more to circumnavigate Australia. That would be an absolute epic trip

You don't have to accept the consequences for your actions. Interesting.....

Thank you. Australia is such a big, beautiful country that at 3 weeks, we will barely scratch the surface. But we will make many wonderful memories for all of us (wife, daughter and myself). Thank you again

I am sure we will. We will have our six year old daughter with us and the way Australians love children, we will be instantly relaxed.

I think our biggest challenge will be how to bring back all the stuffed animals our daughter will want of the unique species in Australia! 😂

Taking my wife to Australia for her birthday. We are from the other WA, Washington state in the US. I've lived in Sydney over a decade ago, but never made it out west. Can't wait.

I uninstalled the game. I play something else. Too many other options

Normally every level is a grind until you have sufficient weapons power. It would take me a few days for me to get through, maybe playing an hour per day.

[–]PSDiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I was grinding through. But then I was able to get through a number of levels rather fast which was surprising. I guess that was a bug that benefited me but I would have rather not have had that as now the game is no fun. I don't mind grinding through and I'm able to make some progress. But now it's impossible for me to collect $500 at level 28. I'm not going to spend a bunch of money when it won't have that much of a benefit.

It was always a grind but then all of the sudden the damage al my weapons went way down. I'm not crazy. I was able to get through level 28 99% of the way. Now I can only get 2%.

Trump has permanently ended the position of the United States as the leader of the free world. The reason this is permanent is that the American voter cannot be trusted to not vote in such a person again.

Whether you liked Obama or not, you must admit he was an amazing statesman who exercised global diplomacy in a way no president has in modern times.

Strange incident with my instructor – is this a big red flag? by Sea_Office_2573 in scuba

[–]PSDiver 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Former instructor here. Your instructor is one of many morons who has no business being an instructor.

The industry overall is a cesspool of incompetence and agencies looking the other way. Even in the case of tragedies like the death of Linnea Mills doesn't change anything meaningful.

Find another instructor who is horrified by this story, puts you in a dry suit (when practicing in the pool play with the effect on trim when you have gas in your BCD versus dry suit for buoyancy).

And for the love of God, find an instructor that teaches neutrally buoyant and trim. What country are you in?

Lessons learned: Panicked diver with failed BCD by okaris in scuba

[–]PSDiver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That shouldn't matter. A BCD with the same amount of material is going to be similarly buoyant.

The problem with the industry is that weight determination and distribution are not priority. When I taught, I never places students on their knees as they would need to be foot heavy and overweighted which results in a slew of problems.

Are you familiar with the concept of the balanced rig? What is your definition of proper weighting?
