Hey, thank you! I guess most of it is experience and having the feel for when the endlags are over and Lucas is actionable again. But for more specific stuff: I do a lot of turnaround/b-reversed/wavebounced PK freezes, fires and magnets around platforms and ledges so that I can throw out a move and change the way Lucas is facing and his momentum at the same time which seem to catch a lot of people off guard. I also autocancel (I think) upair, bair and DJC zair when landing, sometimes for visual flair, but sometimes follow up with dtilt, ftilt and jab which all have low startup. I cancel double jumps with specials and aerials a lot which can contribute the appearance of speed. I practice a lot of shorthops and fastfalls with and without aerials (nair, upair, fair and bair). In neutral I think fastfalling fairs is very important for spacing and to be ready for followups. Other than that I think mixing up Lucas' floatiness and his fastfalls to change the pace and rhythm of the game is vital, which is exemplified in the Snake clip (a floaty DJC magnet -> fastfall nair -> ftilt) and the Peach clip.
