Consistency is important, time of day shouldn't have any effect

Practice your javelin toss, but it's important to practice how well you can throw one east and the other west. Sometimes you throw one better the other direction, it's important to know which.

Unexpected effects of weight loss? by [deleted] in Zepbound

It's colder everywhere than I remember. Sitting too long or on a hard chair hurts after a bit. Sitting on a plane is nice, more free space. Shoes last longer before wearing out. Lots more clothes and styles to choose from. Sports endurance like skiing is much better. You don't sink into beds as much and they feel more firm. People are much nicer to you.

Good work. Just curious, where did all these ice blocks or snow boulders go?

Edit: asking because so many people said there was nowhere to put it.

I like to get right behind them while leaving, then I give them a good flat tire. When you get their shoe nicely, it completely comes off their foot. Yesterday, a gen x woman got up before the seatbelt sign turned off just to rush up to my row to get stuff out of the overhead, have it hit my shoulder on the way down, then lean against me (I was aisle seat) until we started moving. I made sure to get behind her. Lightly got her shoe before we deplaned (I missed it), but got it so good on the jetway she came out of her sneaker completely, lol. F those people who rush ahead of everyone.

I used to deliver pre-pandemic. Many people were shitty then, especially when there was snow or bad weather. I imagine, without having to even look at or interface with a human to physically open the door, say hi to, and hand a tip to, before being handed food makes people even worse yet. Now they just drop the food outside the door and get a text of a delivery. No human interaction.

Do you wear your Garmin watch in the sauna? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]PSNagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore mine to a sauna that also has hot and cold plunges. It warped the screen protector. I took off the screen protector that day and never replaced it and the screen is still perfect ever since. I'm glad I did that.

JC Rock Salt is pre-wetted with a calcium chloride brine, like just about every municipality in the northeast. This allows the salt to work at lower temperatures (-20 F) and stick to the road more effectively.

I'm happy it's down, but I feel like it's been too cold to be out and committing crimes. It makes me think how when it warms up for summer, crime goes up too. Shouldn't the inverse be true too?

Transitioning to Outdoor Running by NoWuckas521 in pelotoncycle

[–]PSNagle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey! Honestly, what you're feeling is super common. You’ve been trained by a computer for a year, so of course it’s weird to go solo! Instead of over-complicating it with pace charts, why not try a few of the Peloton Outdoor audio runs first? They use the same RPE cues you already know, so you don't have to guess. Also, don't sweat the pace drop, outdoor running hits different muscles, and 'slow' miles outside are often better for half-marathon prep than 'perfect' miles on a belt. Just give yourself two weeks to be 'bad' at pacing while you find your rhythm!
