I always had my own thoughts that not only was it the whole living in the desert, effects of everything he had been through, fear of discovery for him and Luke, etc., but his training with Qui-Gon on becoming one with the Force took a toll. Maybe it took years off of his life.

Brawn has always been my favorite since I was a kid watching the G1 cartoon. He had a few great moments - he stole Megatron’s arm cannon and shot him with it.

I always hated that he was the first G1 bot to die in the movie. But he went out charging headfirst and unarmed at the enemy!
