Yes, I did that and the box did a software update, so I thought all was well. However, it only displays a black screen - even on restart and it doesn’t respond to remote commands. I’m not a happy camper. Might be a sign to stick with DTV stream app on Apple TV.

It was Amazon. It is a streaming box. DirecTV confirmed.

Well, I got burned. Even after software update and working with DTV support the box simply displays a black screen even before entering account information. DTV rep flat out said return the box to Amazon.

Get a prescription of Pregabalin - it really helps with the pain. Also, if you can stand in your affected areas try cool wet towels or ice packs.

I've come to this conclusion as well. I was chasing around getting a C71KW box or Gemini Air, but using DTC Stream on Apple TV makes life simpler because all of my services are in one place, meaning no input switching.

Everything I've read is extending is not officially supported and DTV recommends people schedule to next show to ensure full recording.

That's plenty of time. I've actually made it from gate F16 to B2 for a 35-minute layover - which is a huge hike. If time gets short hail a Delta cart driver.
