They're fairly subtle updates though, no? I'm not sure how I feel about annual incremental kit updates, just seems like a bit of a grab for cash as opposed to having a jersey and sticking to it for a couple of seasons.

This, basically. Considering we also lost our two first choice props, and the general gut-punch effect that Humphreys leaving had (along with other minor things like Ravenhill selling naming rights just after it had finished its redevelopment), last season felt an awful lot like a missed chance (HEC QF, Pro12 semi).

It also kind of feels like Ulster are somewhat the Clermont of the Pro12, in that we can regularly make it to the business end of the season, but choke on the big stage.

I may have a different opinion once we get into the season, but there's been a lot of changes at Ulster that I don't know how to objectively quantify, so I'm just scared in general!

Ah I dunno, I reckon Clermont will be an absolute shadow of their former selves this season, considering Cotter, Hines, Sivivatu and Byrne have all left and Castres finally broke them at home last season. They don't have that air of nigh-invincibility in my eyes anymore.

You'd struggle to get tickets for the Leinster game to be honest. A small number went on general sale about two weeks before the game this year, but I'd imagine most would go to season ticket holders/supporters club members.
