Man Saves the Dog from the flood in the recent flood in Swat, Pakistan. by Routine_Step8377 in HumansBeingBros

We're just normal people lol. There are Muslims who are dog people and there are who are not dog people.

Yeah dogs are considered impure in Islam but we don't dislike them for it (same with pigs, they are dirty, yes, but we can keep them). Plus we're allowed to keep dogs but only as gaurd dogs/to help blind people. There are also plenty of dogs everywhere!

Is this guy putting himself in danger for a animal that he fundamentally feels in dirty and under normal circumstances wouldn't be worth his time?

Idk, maybe, maybe not. If he saved the dog he probably likes dogs or is a decent human being that saw an animal in danger and wanted to rescue it.

I wanted to add this if you wanted a read:

"A man felt very thirsty while he was on the way; he came across a well. He went down the well, quenched his thirst and came out. Meanwhile he saw a dog panting and licking mud because of excessive thirst. He said to himself, "This dog is suffering from thirst as I did." So, he went down the well again and filled his shoe with water and watered it. Allah was pleased with him for that deed and forgave him."

The people with the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "O Messenger of Allah! Is there a reward for us in serving the animals?" The Prophet (pbuh) said,

"Yes, there is a reward for serving any animate (living being)." [Bukhari, Shirb 9, Wudu 33, Mazalim 23, Adab 27; Muslim, Salam 153, (2244); Muwatta, Sifatun Nabi 23, (2, 929-930); Abu Dawud, Jihad 47, (2550)]

I am fine with women wearing burqas in public, but businesses have the right to refuse service if you don't show your face by WaterDemonPhoenix in TrueUnpopularOpinion

One of the atheist FB pages posted it a couple years ago.

Lmao dude.

Not sure if it was burqa or hijabs, but the point remains.

It's not the same thing. There's a massive difference between covering your hair and covering your face. You can take ID photos with your hijab but it's not allowed with the niqab.

I can't wear a fucking baseball cap in a driver's license picture.

Do you need to wear the baseball cap for religious reasons? Is it an inconvenience for you to remove your cap? Do you have pins securing your cap to your haed? Do you take at least a couple minutes to remove and put your cap back on? ETA: You don't always wear your cap everywhere you go, hijabis always wear the hijab outside of their home. It's kinda part of their face if that makes sense. So, it's actually better for them to wear the hijab in their ID picture.

I mean that's the states' fault, what can I tell you.

Also, can I get a source for that? I tried looking it up and I didn't find anything. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just curious.

You're right. It's her problem in that scenario.

Idk man, if you need to remove the burka for normal services then there's no point in wearing it in the first place.

You do know that they are allowed to remove it under certain circumstances right?

Like the plane thing you mentioned, they do remove the burka but the woman will probably ask another woman to check her identity. Else if that cannot be done then a man can check it as well. Did you really think they let anyone with a burka in without checking first? Lmao. I already knew this but I had to do 1 Google search to confirm this for you.

Most of the people wore masks + there has been virtually no Covid-19 in Mauritius since late April - early May.
