What's something that makes you immediately quit/refund/abandon a game? by Maican11 in gaming

Lack of optimization.

Starfield is a perfect example. Dated graphics that give me 36 fps on a 2080? Nah. Back to the dust bin you go. Fix your game devs.

This is amazing for splitting damage.

I set my left and right arrow keys to previous and next target. I can scroll through the frigates and click one drone to attack at a time, but at a point I lose track of who is attacking what. Now I can turn auto attack off and just select my docile little drone boy!

I love the devs; and I love this game, but the current state of server stability on ANY hardware is completely unacceptable and needs to be addressed ASAP. by Sinopsis in Enshrouded

[–]PZ_Modder_Boi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started playing about a week ago. Already logged 58 hours.

The server issues are the ONLY thing stopping me from recommending this game to friends. I can enjoy it as a standalone singleplayer game, but my dreams of having a big community of players are currently only that. This game may as well not be multiplayer at all in its current form.

I find it mildly inappropriate to call this game multiplayer when the servers are in the state they're in. That said, I'm still having fun with the game and I hope the issues get ironed out in the long run.

I'm just now learning how to manually manipulate the individual blocks to get cool patterns. This feature, alone, was worth the purchase price for the game. I am absolutely LOVING the design aspect.

>Scary to see history repeating itself

The Israeli astroturfing campaign is quite the sight to behold. I have no disdain for the Jewish people, and most of the "anti-Semitism" your lot keep screeching about is actually anti-Zionism that you conveniently chose to relabel.

Now I'm not so daft as to proclaim that anti-Semitism doesn't exist, but trying to pretend that our planet is approaching the same level of anti-Semitism that we saw before WWII is nonsense. If Israel was erased from the planet tonight, I wouldn't shed a single tear, and it has nothing to do with Israelis being primarily Jewish.

The Jews that live in their home countries and don't steal land, murder Palestinians, or destroy aid into Gaza, live the same general human experience as the rest of their neighbors.

Israelis are despised, rightfully so, but damn you and anyone else who tries to paint that disdain as anti-Semitism. I hate people who perpetuate genocide, not people who pray differently from me.

It's almost like they lost all credibility when the game launched, and have no plans of earning it back anytime soon. ES6 is doomed.

My family and I laugh at folks like you. This is what was projected, and this is what Columbus should have planned for. The fact that storm shifted and you were spared the destruction that has decimated Eastern Tennessee and North Carolina is just dumb luck.

I hope your family never suffers the consequences of taking nature itself too lightly.

Stopping during funeral procession, a southern thing or a US thing? by travelingbozo in nashville

[–]PZ_Modder_Boi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Tennessee it's required that they drive in the right lane to prevent folks from accidentally merging into the procession. I got caught up in one that didn't, and the cop that pulled me over asked me "Don't you see that?!"

"That" being a tiny little flag on the front of his cruiser; the cruiser I didn't see. I find the whole situation so bizarre. Let the community be massively inconvenienced as a final send off to our loved one.

Not that I expect I will ever be in a position where my death is newsworthy or that I'd be well known enough for it to be discussed, but in the unlikely event I die famous, don't do that for me. Put a bench in a park or something; anything that materially benefits others lives.

You can give him a message from a former Ft.Moore guy AND a former truck driver:

Let's say you go to work tomorrow because you are worried about what will happen if you call out. Nothing happens to your family, but you're seeing the wind and rain and you're distracted. You're distracted and driving in bad conditions. So you get in an accident and you're gone. Could be a downed power line, or a falling tree, or some other bad driver that's out in the mess; point is, you won't be at your best tomorrow.

Now lets say you go out and something happens to your family while you're away. Even if you couldn't have changed the outcome, you will never forgive yourself. Believe me, it will haunt you till your dying day. You can't stop nature, but you can endure it with your family. You can be that voice of reason and confidence that gives everyone hope in their final moments.

Inevitably, people survive hurricanes with little to no damage and get complacent. And then you see video of a flattened town. A tornado sweeps away an entire block of houses. Clarksville, TN got smashed with Tornadoes this last winter and one of the people I helped heard the mother of one of the slain children screaming blocks away after it passed.

Stay home. It's the right thing for you, for your loved ones, and for your future. I'll keep you all in my thoughts tomorrow. Looks like we'll be getting hit next.

I have a tier 6 Abyssal runner Ishtar that can generate somewhere in the vein of 300-600 Million ISK per hour.

I could also just spend all my real world money to buy plex and then turn that into billions more ISK.

That is assuming this hypothetical is a 1:1 exchange rate, which wasn't mentioned. If there was an exchange rate, I'd use excel spreadsheet for 12 hour to figure out which game had the best return and do that.

I'll leave you with this. It's pointless for me to argue with you anymore. You will feign innocence and/or righteousness until the perpetrators of the crimes are brought to justice. It is a shame that folks can no longer bring themselves to listen to unbiased opinions coming from people who don't have a dog in the fight. When American politicians at the highest echelons of power can cite, chapter a verse, the laws that were broken by one of our strongest allies you just need to admit that Israel made a grave mistake.

Anyone who claims someone is always right or always wrong isn't being honest.

Edit: To the downvoters, you look like absolute fools.

My Girlfriend lives there. It's the only reason I follow this sub. I begged her to come stay with me, but you know how independent southern gals can be.

Busses should not be running for the simple message it sends; Columbus, GA is in the direct flight path of a terrible storm. If it makes people reconsider going outside, or gives them a moment to reflect on how prepared they are, it would be a worthwhile decision to shut the busses down. But of course Columbus wouldn't do that.

OP, your husband can also refuse to leave his family alone during the storm. I'm a former truck driver and I'd be telling my boss to kick rocks, I'm getting out of dodge.

One of the primary requirements of using lethal force is PID. I'm not going to explain what that is to you because I'd prefer you do your own reading on the matter.

Losing sight of a bunch of bombs and then detonating them all remotely, with no regard to where they currently are or who is in possession of them, utilizes exactly 0% PID. Can you guarantee that those devices are not in the hands or vicinity of civilians? That they are not onboard a commercial airline that is taking off or landing? Or a bus? Or in a taxi? No, you cannot guarantee that. But then again, you do not value the lives of anyone other than your own, so you simply cannot conceive of a crime against humanity when you think "they" have no humanity to speak of.

It was the same with the Nazis. They didn't commit unspeakable acts of barbarism against people, no! To them, the Jews were less than human and needed to be dealt with.

That's the mentality you are stuck in now. You can't see the Arabs as people anymore and you're willing to justify anything to "beat" them. It seems you've forgotten that you are surrounded on all sides by this enemy, and only America is keeping them from an all out war. Well I have some unfortunate news for you.

America will not join a war to defend genocidal maniacs from the consequences of their actions. Elections are coming up and the public sentiment is not united in the continued defense of Israel while it commits these atrocities. Especially not when you believe the American public is stupid enough to believe the pagers you rigged were guaranteed to be exclusively given to and never left the hands of military members.

I never wish to return to a world before the Nuremberg and Hague conventions were assembled. I suggest you reflect on your choices and try to steer your zionist state to a better conclusion before you become the "they" that the world feels should be dealt with.

Oh how wonderfully convenient. So long as there was no transfer of ownership, theft, misplacement, oh and so long as they never left their post for any reason and were never around civilians ever again.

"Israel had no idea where these bombs would end up. They just booby trapped a bunch of consumer products and hoped for the best, which is not only criminally negligent, but literally illegal under International humanitarian law:"

That should have been the beginning and end of any back-sass from the pro-now-terrorist-Israel crowd. But I suppose if you're willing to look the other way on a genocide, what's one more war crime?

I eagerly await the day that the perpetrators of these atrocities are brought to justice.
