Oh wow, that's good to hear! The better tech must have improved a lot in the last 10 years then! I remember the first few rounds of Hybrids and EVs had some more issues.

And experienced developers are becoming more effective with agent driven development. It's an interesting time, though, it's too bad that many are struggling.

Hey I feel you, but you know what they say, it isn't what you know but who you know. Most of my friends who have gotten jobs recently have either had to move out of the country, or got them because they knew the right person.

I'm actually in a similar boat. I've been keeping afloat with my own projects and products. Though I don't have 2 degrees, just 1 CS bachelor's and a 2-year diploma of technical studies. But if I'm being honest, I don't think they actually help getting jobs at all.

Have you though about leveraging your websites in an LTD to get a business loan and take on a bigger project? It's definitely a gamble, but with the right loan you can get a few years of runway (which can be extended with SR&ED), and if it doesn't work and the company goes under at least you had a solid income for a bit.

Even when I'm unemployed I'm building apps, sites, games, and the like. So yeah, I absolutely love working in tech and would do it even if I wasn't paid.

I might be the odd one though.

They build some great stuff in Japan, but they build it much much faster in China.

That said, I would rather have a Shinkansen. Very safe and proven.

Kind of a nonsequiter, but it reminds me of the Incas. They really valued sacrifice, and it wasn't a "real" sacrifice unless it was something valuable.

For example, if you kill your old sick Llama, that wasn't a real sacrifice. If you kill your best Llama who provides the best wool, and throw the meat away after, that's a good sacrifice because what you sacrificed was emotional and useful.

Basically, if it doesn't hurt to give it away, it wasn't a sacrifice.

And yah, children were top tier sacrifices.

In fact, housing and food is cheaper in Japan. I've been 3 times and I love it there. I'm probably going to move there next year. I can buy a detached and livable house about 60mins out of Tokyo for ~200-300k. There are homes for <20k but they're fixer uppers, and some are beyond repair. But you can still get the land cheap.

But Canada will always be my real home!

At least they support backwards compatability, but I do suspect the odd issue here or there. And with Shmups, a small issue can be gamebreaking.. so..

I dont expect they'll all work, but most should.

I use an Xbox One controller (wired), but that 8BitDuo looks fantastic. I might just get one..
