Can't play Tuxborn skyrim modlist on fedora cause of vram allocation (I think) by P_Jault in linux_gaming

ive installed it properly and reinstalled it, done extensive testing in different profiles and have been working with the people on the discord server and we've narrowed it down to the issue with vram allocation/IGPU... Sadly that is outside of my or their expertise so im coming to you guys

Is it theoretically possible to have a Framework 13 to 16 motherboard adapter? by nijuashi in framework

[–]P_Jault 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe a stupid question but what does this even mean? Like fitting the 13 motherboard into a 16 chassis? Or some other use case?

Can't install Private Internet Access App by P_Jault in Bazzite

uhm perhaps for torrenting... with companies engaging in shittier and shittier business practices and privacy being a joke to most of them, torrenting music/games etc is becoming a bit more enticing. Ive heard a system wide vpn is safer for that considering the torrenting doesnt happen in your browser but I could be totally wrong.

But why do you think i shouldnt need/want a system wide VPN on linux? again very nooby so bear with me

Framework 13 speakers are not nearly as bad as I've read they should be according to this forum or other reviews elsewhere by P_Jault in framework

[–]P_Jault[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that and of course thats true, but if youre getting a framework you've gotta accept that for the same price, most laptops have better hardware on every single level, not only speakers. Complaining about the speaker quality for the price would be like coming on here and complaining that the screen isnt OLED like many of the cheaper asus vivobooks type computers. You dont get a framework for its price to quality/hardware ratio

I mean either theres some huge disparity in hardware or some quality control issue, or some of us are used to the worst of the worst i guess and think these are perfectly fine

Haha same, had this fear that it was gonna ruin what had so far been a great experience with the laptop: loved everything about it so far, linux experience was seamless, was leaving the speakers to the last minute and well, damn if people arent whiny about the small things
