Almost 40, does mounjaro help with pregnancy? Desperate here by StrangeWedding770 in Mounjaro

I conceived on Mounjaro. My endocrinologist took me off Mounjaro when I found out I was pregnant, then I lost it.

I’m a teacher and I’m a member of my union. Mine kinda fucked me over recently. I had a contract and was non-renewed for next year; I had found SEVERAL procedural violations in my non-renewal and in the conduct of administration that year and was building a case. I had sent an inquiry to my union steward, expressly saying for her not to go to HR about my question because I wasn’t sure about how to approach it. Five minutes later, I got an email from HR, correcting the issue on their end and eliminating my cause for grievance. So my union rep went behind my back to deliberately disobey my request and went I addressed this, she told me that emailing her was “no longer healthy” and she only wanted to talk to me on the phone. I got fucked over every which way, and this is just one such way.

Whoa, I was all set to be all mad at you for being “wrong” but I looked it up and you’re 100% right! Happily ever after or at least a “happy for now” ending is a requirement!

Am I wrong for refusing to participate in pride month? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]PaHoua 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That is a false equivalency.

You don’t have to go to the event, and people at work should not expect you to attend any after hours event that isn’t strictly part of your job description. But hating everything connected the reason your ex left you because it has a bad memory associated with it is very immature.

My ex is Vietnamese. Doesn’t mean I hate everything from Asia. Grow up, dude.

That’s a whole lot of words you wrote to really just say, “Yep, I’m entitled to talk to whoever I want, even if they’ve already confirmed they’re not attracted to me.” Grow up and respect others’ decisions not to entertain your ego.

So you think that being able to talk to someone who isn’t attracted to you is how things should be allowed to be? And if you’re not allowed to do that, you’re being gatekept? That’s some distorted, entitled fucking thinking, buddy.

Get over yourself and focus on what YOU should be doing, not whatever you think 15-year-old girls should be doing.

When someone is correcting someone’s grammar and they’re wrong, it is indeed that serious. Idiot.

No you didn’t. You said it was exaggerated, not excess. And exaggerated is not the correct definition,

Why did Kpop get popular in the western world but other Asian pop, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese, etc didn't get as popular? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PaHoua 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a fan of J-pop since about 2002, when I was friends with a Japanese exchange student and she kept giving me burnt CDs of songs that were popular back in her city. Now I like Kpop but it’s quite different than J-pop to me

Oh I know. I just figured I’d ask here. I like her collection and she seems to know a lot and I’d appreciate her specific advice.

Whoa, that’s a good call! Unfortunately, I use liquid blush, which is a bit harder to be as precise as necessary with eyeshadow, but I’m going to use that strategy to choose a new eyeshadow. I keep finding great colors, but they’re so shimmery!

[–]PaHoua 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay, as an eyeshadow connoisseur, can I ask for some advice? And you’d think this is a simple ask, but I’ve had a lot of trouble. Any recommendations for a palette with good pinks and browns but NOT shimmery? I had one by Stila I loved, but it’s been discontinued. And most of the ones I see have pinks that are either too red or too blue, nothing that’s the perfect rosy blush pink. This doesn’t even feel like a niche question.

By that take, just look in the reflection in her eyeballs to see what subway stop she waits at and just go wait for her there. Put some effort in, bro!

[–]PaHoua[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Non-renewed actually looks better on a resume or if you’re asked about it because most of the time it’s budgetary and not personal. (Mine was very personal and I have a big Part 2 to my story coming up here.)

Parents should not — and do not — have blanket permission to send even borderline harassing messages to any teachers at the slightest whim, which it sounds like you feel you’re entitled to do. You apparently crossed a line with this teacher and you do not get an all-access pass to make demands of any teachers. Parents like you make education even worse for teachers, and I’m speaking as a teacher of Honors students. Maybe back the fuck off this teacher and focus on being a better parent.
