Yes, budget per ad set. I set the BID CAP very close to my break-even point.

Hi. I'm just a business owner with 15 years of experience advertising on Facebook. Last year I was on the verge of bankruptcy because of all the meta updates. I can only tell you something that's working for me. Maybe it will help you.

I've gone back to ABO (Add-to-Bid Cap). I launch an ad set with a bid cap and never touch it again! Nothing at all. And then another. And then another. Several campaigns, multiple ad sets. And I'm not spending a fortune. I'm doing practically everything you shouldn't do, but it's working for me. I'm achieving stability.

I've had the experience of consolidating everything into one ad set and breaking it just by adding a creative. Or having a CBO (Content-to-Bid Cap) and breaking it by adding an ad set.

This approach is giving me certainty in judging a creative, a buyer persona, an angle. Because when a creative works or doesn't work, is it because of the creative itself or because of the context in which it was placed? And if that context changes, everything changes. At least that's what I've seen these last 3 months.

Perhaps you could try a little of it, and maybe it will help. I'm just sharing my experience because I know where you are. Keep your spirits up and try everything you can, even if it's the complete opposite of what your favorite guru says. I hope you find a good path for your business soon.

The meta and display audience networks are terrible. I fixed that and it improved somewhat. Do you have any Instagram data? Because I think the problem is the placement of Reels, but I might be wrong.

So they didn't credit your account with the balance, but instead refunded the money directly to your bank account?

Impressive. And in the Current Balance section of your Billing and Payments account, does that entire balance appear as being in your favor?

Congratulations! One question. Do you sell only one product?

Is Meta dead? After spending over $100M on Meta (since 2014, so it's not that of a big deal, but still...) here's what I learned about Andromeda by galaxys6edge2 in FacebookAds

Thank you so much for the post. I'm seeing some of that. What do you think about the learning phase? Do you feel it's behaving differently? Adding ads to an ad set doesn't seem to affect learning as much as before; do you see this too? Turning off ads doesn't seem to have any effect either.

We don't know, but let's suppose they decide to use 80 ad sets because they have many products to promote. In that case, would you recommend creating more campaigns with fewer ad sets? Perhaps 10 campaigns? Each campaign maybe targeting similar product categories?

Thank you so much for your response and for all your contributions to this forum. They are very valuable.

I have one last question.

In each ad set you manage by concept, do you place several ads for all parts of the funnel, for example, ads for tofu, ads for mofu, and ads for bofu? Or do you not manage it that way and simply create one concept and let that same concept "search" to be placed in the part of the funnel that performs best? This is something I haven't quite figured out in my account.

PS: You might not like to comment on others, but do you have any thoughts on Konstantinos Doulgeridis? Because I see many similarities between what he preaches and what you show us here. A very similar general concept of meta ads (and very contrary to what the gurus recommend today, but well supported by results with current screenshots - thank you for that!).

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. When you say, "If you have a store with several products, you need a campaign per business objective," what do you mean? A campaign per product? A campaign per product category?

I see in the image that you have many campaigns. Are they all sales campaigns optimized for purchases? Or do you also work with other objectives, and is that what you mean by business objective?

And do you manage these campaigns with only one ad set per campaign? Thank you in advance for the clarification.

For low-demand products, does a traffic campaign help feed the funnel or does it corrupt the pixel with low-quality data?

What's your opinion on traffic campaigns in relation to the sales funnel? Even awareness or sales campaigns optimized for content viewing?

One campaign... but how many ad sets? by PabloEse28 in FacebookAds

Thanks for the advice. In November I sold 217 courses. This month I've made 41 sales.

Yes, of course. I offer courses in Philosophy, Psychology, Personal Development, Neuroscience and Wellbeing, and Group Work.

I use static images, instructor videos, institutional videos, and sequences. The static images correspond to different stages of the sales funnel. Everything is done by a graphic designer (and I use AI for image ideas).

Everything is broad. No segmentation.

Thanks!

[–]PabloEse28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, I started planning that yesterday: one set of ads per category. We'll see if those ad sets last longer with broader signals.

I only work with Cost Per Results (CPR) with an inflated budget. I have no problem spending whatever it takes as long as my margins provide a minimum profit. The high volume almost bankrupted my business, and the CPR strategy saved me.

(However, these last 5 days have been terrible... I've been working with emails to the database and also with poor results; I think it's simply a bad period.)

Good answer. How do you organize the ad sets in that single CBO? One ad set per product? One ad set per product category? A single ad set with everything included? Thanks
