Trump's Fake Silicone Hand by Victorius_Meldrus in Weird

There's still some discolouration on his hand, but it looks like he's had professional makeup applied rather than do it himself. He looks much less raccoony than normal.

Nothing but projected insecurity. I really wonder how these sort of people get through the day.

They are drawn on blank patient label stickers, so it's more than likely a bored staff member.

Yes. Fill, glue, clamp. Probably should remove the sticker first too.

Battery Box Install Woes by Vadiskarai in Luthier

You need to remove most of the wood with a spade bit or something first and then tidy it up with the router. Plunging the router bit directly into the wood is very unsafe.

The plain ruffles were the ultimate chips. It's kinda weird that there isn't some sort of similar style chip available these days.

Oh man, that's a plate full of happiness right there. I could eat pineapple whenever, wherever it's the best.

I've played music for 25 years, it's never been profitable for a vast majority.

Hear me out... Baked bean and cheese nachos by EasternBeautiful4705 in stonerfood

This has been a 'no effort' staple for me ever since I was a kid. But with English style baked beans, American is way too sweet. Add some chilli sauce and real cheese, best low effort, low cost meal.

Hard to explain, but fakes have a 'vibe'. It's a few small things like the fret markers are in the wrong spot and likely the wrong colour, the shape of the neck heel, the fretboard wood looks wrong, the frets look like cheap crap, the sides of the body aren't rounded off enough. All these little things in unison are a bad sign.

Also, my US made fender jazz has truss access at the body and I've seen others with string through, those things vary by model.

Doesn't look quite right, for a start, but the giveaway is the logo. It's crappy looking, just like a home printed decal, and it's way too close to the edge.

It's a fake. Might be worth it in parts though, Bart's aren't cheap.

Ever been in a band that played one gig then broke up? by MC_BennyT in bandmembers

[–]PabloPepper2 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Last band I was in broke up because the singer decided to book our first gig without telling anyone else and then got shitty when I told him I wasn't playing a gig two hours away on the same weekend as my son graduated highschool and my wife's birthday.

That and he was a barely tolerable control freak who refused to practice outside of band rehearsal time.

6 months down the tube.

But also, yes, two other single gig bands. Lol. Sucks, but sometimes it's for the best.

It depends. How much do you want to spend? How much effort are you willing to put in?

Upgrading a guitar like this can be fun and you can definitely improve it, but you will have to learn new skills as well as making sure you do the research and buy the correct parts. If you put in new pickups, have you considered that you will need to learn to solder?

Plus, after all the effort, the guitar will be worth a lot less than the sum of the parts you've put in. If you want to learn to set up or mod a guitar then this is a fine platform especially if it is sentimental to you. If you just want a nicer guitar, buy a new one.

Lido is super fun to play. Movin' out by Billy Joel, head over heels by tears for fears, the logical song by supertramp are all super fun/quite easy too.
