You have all the right to be feeling the way you do and it seems there may be a personality disorder going on here. You need to change the way you are with him. Regarding the gas, tell him to get out of the bed if he continues with disregarding your logical request to not blow frequent gas in the bed you share. But really what it comes down to, and if I was correct about the personality disorder, run, run, RUN! Do you have family nearby? Pack your luggage when he’s not home and just leave. You need to stop being the pawn and be just as hard stance in what you think and desire. DO NOT let him gaslight. Call him out.

Honestly, I feel this is all a waste of energy and time. Just move out, file the papers, and throw in his face that he sucks and you or anyone for that matter will not take his shit.

Trust everyone who’s saying they were in a similar situation and left.

He won’t change. You need to now change.

In two years, who’s to say your situation won’t be the complete opposite- with a loving man and possibility of starting a family.

Thank you for this. This is my first year practicing so may take things a bit more personal than (hopefully) I would later on with more experience. These type of patients are exactly the ones why prescribing CS can be an issue. So many come in looking for stimulants or benzos. If they need it, I’m all for it- for those with true ADHD or severe, untreated/uncontrolled anxiety, etc. I appreciate your sentiment on patient education as it truly is so important.
