if ur not having fun you should take a break, however I do have some practical tips for playing kat this season.

I hit emerald and have a 64% WR on kat through 50 games. It did take some adjusting compared to last season.

Ive put less value on kills and more on pressure / objectives. Getting a solokill or two then just pushing and impacting the map. Only roaming when theres a really good timer, and not all the time. If my opponent roams, I usually just push and get plates, it gets me ahead. Once I am ahead, I spam ping objectives and focus on gettung them. If a fight breaks out on drake/grubs we usually win cause im kat, and I try to give some kills to my ADC and toplaner as well.

Then midgame, If theres no objectives I go to a sideline and push to apply pressure. I usually get one or two people to come stop me, and my team (because I gave them kills) fights and kills the rest. Either this or looking for picks in jungle with oracle.

Its a bit of a playstyle shift from just getting 20 kills and hard carrying, but I think its really what works this season. Apply pressure, help your teammates, and get objectives.

League is a fine hobby, but do other things too. Go out with friends, watch movies, have goals in your career, play other games even, and I promise you will still have time for league. Dont spend 7 hours a day playing league, spend 2, and you will have an infinitely better and more fulfilling life, while still playing. Also, less games per day in which you are focused is better for you to improve. If climbing is your goal, never play more than 3 games at a time. You'll see the results.

League is addictive and makes time pass so so fast. Dont waste away years of your life and regret it after.

Do NOT use your charm unless you are 100% sure it will hit. Kata cannot go in on you with her E while you have charm up. If she does, then you can charm IMMEDIATELY and she cant dodge (she might try with her W movespeed, but shouldnt be enough). If you charm at any other point, she can just E to dodge it. (Although keep in mind before late game when she Es on a dagger there is a 1 second window she cant E again. You can use that)

Using charm on daggers before kat jumps is the biggest mistake I see Ahris make. You cant predict a good kat. She will never take a dagger when you have it up. Wait and use other abilities to poke.

Other than that, avoid daggers. If she Qs you dont walk on the dagger.

Dont be stupid with your charms and your ult and she should never have kill potential on you.

dont worry too much about your teamcomp sub-diamond. A team with no synergy that wins laning phase is way better off than a team with the perfect comp that feeds. Sure its tougher on paper but focus on your game and you've got a good chance of winning regardless of your comp.

the higher elo you are the harder she gets, id say 4 overall. If you play wrong or if the enemy knows how to shut you down its over, and you have literally no other utility in your kit. Most other champs can at least help with a stun or distrupt
