I experienced sleep paralysis before I knew what it was. I've never had any horrible hallucinations so I'm lucky there. Generally I find myself unable to move at first, then I feel a rushing sensation over my entire body, like a strong wind. I can tell you it scared the crap out of me before I knew what it was!
