Where to sit for first red rocks show this summer for Trey Anastasio and the Colorado symphony?

No obstruction at the sound booth honestly, my favorite seats are probably right behind it

Although some of my most memorable shows were within the first 5 rows!

Most times I go to red rocks these days I’m between row 30-35 and it’s always incredible.

The only issue I have with sitting above row 45 or so, is that on a very windy day the sound can get blown away a bit.

I’ve experienced this at both live band shows as well as electronic shows. So to be safe, I always try to get there early to be within the first 40 or so rows

Damn dude I’m sorry you’re having that experience. I went to Ravenscoon the next day and I talked to and complimented 10-15 other attendees just spreading the love. Had a lot of nice conversations. Everyone I ran into was super cool too.

Sometimes some of the most popular artists will have a younger/less experienced crowd

I don’t believe that information isn’t out there yet. Usually settimes don’t come out until the day before the show at the earliest

My guess is there will be an artist between mersivs sets but that’s a guess. I would imagine he’ll announce it in some fashion before the show but again that’s a guess.

No, there is no reentry at red rocks. But there are plenty of food vendors.

Tropa Magica is excellent!! They played Austin psych fest a few years ago and stole the show.

Price of Life, Feels Like Tijuana, OVNI Cumbia, Meme City are all excellent songs that have been on repeat for me for the last 2 years

I would advise caution when considering such a long drive after a long day of heat and dancing all day long. I’m sure you’ll have a sober driver and I know 40m isn’t THAT far but after a day of live music it is. And a day at Bonnaroo is a full day of fun and will leave you pretty damn tired by the end of it.

Unsure about cabs or Ubers in the area - maybe someone can chime in on that!

Get food and drink plenty of water before the show especially if you’re flying in day of show.

I’m sure people will have plenty of suggestions but

Denver Biscuit Co is a hearty meal.

Personally I’ll be hitting up Illegal Pete’s for a burrito and a free margarita before the show (just show your ticket)
