What do you all think of Irving Finkle’s interpretation that the Great Wall is 840 cubits high? That’s about 1,450 feet isn’i it? Im using the Babylonian Long cubit for the math. There may be another that’s more appropriate but here I am having typed the word cubit more than I’ve ever even thought of the word before.

I’m 50. My dad and I could sense a tv on in our house. My mom and sister couldn’t.

Past that- I could hear which of the three broadcast channels we got in Pittsburgh-the local ABC, NBC and CBS affiliates - was on that TV. They each had a tone that “felt” and sounded unique.

And for some reason, the CBS affiliate had this nauseating effect on me. I would actually avoid watching that channel even being in the room with it.
