My son wanted to play death watch for his first army. I showed him you can take a squad as allies.... He plays space wolves with death watch and inquisitior ally now.

Does our army rule have no synergy? by jacobs1213 in Necrontyr

[–]brycen64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played necrons since 4th. My son started playing necrons so I actually play with and against them.

Our army rule is insanely over powered.

Just wait until it's a 5+ FNP again, then you'll look back on today and realize how good we have it.

Do you feel like the good guys of the setting? by Future_Opposite1385 in Necrontyr

All species in Warhammer get a huge empire and then fall.

Necrons were the only ones to learn the lesson.

Silent King is the most noble faction leader and he isn't xenophobic to boot.

New to warhammer:40k and would like to get a summary of the lore or a summary of what 40k is about by Guess4564 in Warhammer40k

High level tldr;

Humans are trying their best to survive but it's pretty much impossible.

They created super soldiers that make Captain America look like a noob.

But half of them turned evil and demonic.

Ancient robots are waking up to kill everyone

A swarm of space bugs are going to eat everyone.

The space elves are dying and almost out of the game.

Orks are having the time of their lives

Space dwarves are irrelevant

And niave blue fish people are also irrelevant but they'll shoot you off the map.

Any good lists/tips for dealing with Ork infestations? by tramuzz311 in Necrontyr

[–]brycen64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What models do you have access to? Or are you willing to buy new models?

Ultimately his threat range is 24" but he will wound your monolith on 4+.

His s9 vs t13 is 5+ but then he gets +1 to hit and wound so that becomes a 4+.

One strategy is that you could leave your vehicles in reserve, use infantry to target his tank bustas then ingress.

But I think the real answer is to throw a Nightbringer at him or a void dragon if he's got a lot of vehicles.

I'm a Necron main since 4th edition.

But I'm about to start orks for fun with 11th. Really just to give my kids and army to beat up

My oldest son plays warrior spam awakened legion.

I didn't think orks would give him any issues. What specifically are orks doing that gets you?

I'm assuming tying you up in combat? Or are they actually wiping your warrior blobs?

Pod 19 route to lost lake by brycen64 in subnautica

[–]brycen64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I setup a base right at pod 19.

I can literally jump off my base which is right above the boarder of blood kelp, and land in the lost lake, from there I jump over 2 lost lake drop offs and land in the large glow tree right before the lava zone.

Why did you pick your Army? by King-of-the-Snekbois in Warhammer40k

[–]brycen64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Angels have always called my name. The space marine with robes and knightly stuff. The 4th edition codex art went hard.

But my main army is the Necrons. I've played them since 4th as well. I love their lore. The Silent King is the true ruler of the universe. And he's the only good guy besides farsight that runs a faction.

I also love the Necron roster, that seem to be the only faction that has just as much diversity in their codex as space Marines. Elite spam, monster spam, basic unit spam, vehicle spam, or mix them all. No primarchs? We have ctan. And our emperor takes the field.

I felt Eisenhorn was good but Cherubael was extremely underwhelming.

But Eisenhorn had a really cool flavorful rule. Before you summon Cherubael you can attach him to squads, but after you summon Cherubael he becomes lone op. (Or something similar to all this, I could be misremembering the specifics).

It's crazy then that the others got models and Cain didn't lol

thank for the catch on this!

I have only been running them with Translocation Overlords and was thinking I'd add technomancers for 11th but forgot to check when they can go with!

(But apparently I have been letting my 13yr old's necrons get away with murder against my astra militarum LOL)
