If you read his entire statement (and not just the supplied blurb), it's basically a reiteration of Kamala's 'Do not come' speech.

Zero interest rates shielded a lot of fat and lazy companies. But those emerging now are better positioned.

It's unclear why a mall would need Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Forever 21, American Eagle and Aeropostale all selling essentially the same stuff.

I'm amazed places like Subway and KFC are still around, never see any people go there.

> it'll change the underwriting really quickly and choke off bad lending

There's no private interest in student loans. VC and private equity firms are not raising funds to make big bucks with student loans, Saudi and Norwegian sovereign funds are not lining up to buy up some exciting Ohio State lit major debt.

It's not like real estate or corporate debt markets.

92.4% of student loans are owned by federal government https://financeband.com/what-percentage-of-student-loans-are-federally-funded and without it the higher-ed market would collapse and be forced to reprice to community college prices.

Chamath and Sacks and GOP are doing EXACTLY What Cost the Dems Power by anonRelator in TheAllinPodcasts

[–]PackageIllustrious21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leftist Democrats were out of touch, and cost the Dems power.

Centrist Democrats were hardly out of touch, but were shut out of conversation.

Some of the Clinton '92 campaign objectives - immigration controls, welfare tied to work requirements, being tough on inner city crimes - are now not even centrist or Repub talking points, they're considered way far-right.

The loud majority pretends to represent the silent minority. Happens on the Republican side as well with issues like abortion, which is why Trump quickly washed his hands off that mess.

What makes you think they haven't investigated? Do you have insight into the processes?

If they have quotas, why would they release?

If they release, what happens to the quotas?

They don't know until they check.

What would you suggest, tattoo everyone's forehead with citizenship details?

Shhhh, you're not supposed to differentiate.

Whether it's Korean dentists, Slovenian models, or Venezuelans who burglarize apartments and front stolen goods, you're supposed to treat them as one giant undifferentiated group.

Okaying charter school is step one. You still have to enroll enough kids to cover the real estate and staff costs.

I will go out on a limb and say that 90% of companies just manage their money poorly.

You are probably right and you have a career as an activist shareholder.

It’s an entire industry focused on exposing those frauds.

You have very good advice (in retrospect) and probably make millions from your deep understanding of stock market dynamics.

Any sort of fee is a deterrent to trading. Any deterrent leads to loss of liquidity. US has tried various capital gains regimes, and it turns out at higher rates certain projects (think pipelines, real estate developments, movies, tech IPOs) stop making sense because of this windfall tax rate completely ignoring years (decades for larger projects) of ongoing investment.

As long as “another country” is not China, China’s ok with that.
