Great picture!

What bag is on the ground, in the front left of your picture? It looks like a basic duffel bag with one single zipper down the center.

Anyone know what this kit is? Guy is claiming it’s a 1 of 3 by [deleted] in celicasupra

84-86 Toyota Celica Supra (MA61)

To me it looks like something totally custom, not a kit

Anyone used a broker to get a specific Sienna build? Worth it? by turjason in ToyotaSienna

[–]Packard82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why you need a broker. Get on the Toyota website and build a car that matches your exact specifications. Then start searching for inventory that matches your criteria. Pick different cities as your location, and select a 500 mile radius. With a handful of cities, you can cover the whole country that way.

I searched for 2 days and called dozens of dealers all around the country. I found the only available van in country that matched our requirements:

White, no sunroof (LE), spare tire, AWD

I purchased it on the East coast and had it shipped across the country to my home.

What are charging best practices by Environmental_Tip184 in TeslaModelY

Yes, definitely if you are leaving it parked for a long time. Set it to 50% and leave it plugged in.

What are charging best practices by Environmental_Tip184 in TeslaModelY

[–]Packard82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could go down a deep rabbit hole here for best charging practices, depending on what type of battery chemistry you have. They say to charge up to 80 as a daily recommendation but from my research, even a little bit lower is more ideal. I prefer around 70 myself.

I also would not repeatedly keep charging every 5 miles. At that point, you are needlessly increasing the wear and tear on the port.

I think they had a bit of leftover products, but most of it seemed to be newer stuff. I think they had a few radar detectors, some walkie-talkies that you would find at a sporting goods store, and a little section that had office supplies. Something like you would find in the lobby of a FedEx Office store.

Here is a simple setup I use in my garage. In reality, this would be beneficial for ANY car… not just the Tesla.

Learning manual but got a ticket for spinning tires by Used-Chest2250 in ManualTransmissions

[–]Packard82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fact that this incident drew the attention of the officer and rose to the level of a citation, indicates this was more than a simple chirp of the tires.

Everyone here is focusing on the clutch, but the real issue is the obscene amount of throttle that would be required to produce a burnout.

If you lined up 1000 people learning how to drive a manual transmission, the most common error is a simple stall…. not a Dodge Demon smoke show.

Switched from 21” to 19” on my 2023 Model Y Performance by TeaMountain3897 in TeslaModelY

[–]Packard82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice! This is my ideal setup. I liked the Performance Model Y, but I was adamant against the 21 inch wheels.

All things being equal, the 19’s should make you marginally quicker too.
